I had microblading on my eyebrows on Wednesday morning. The lady who did it is meant to be the best of he best her work is amazing but I'm freaking he $&@" out! She said She would follow my brow line and suit he shape o my face. She said she would use a dark blonde ink. As soon as I saw my brows I freaked out! The shape is so thick and they are so dark! I understand the will fade but they are so thick! I can't bring myself to leave the house and I go to work wearing a hat. I don't think hey suit me at all and I hate them! I feel like such a fool :(
Will the shape shrink?

I Had Microblading on my Eyebrows and I HATE It!

I had microblading on my eyebrows 3 weeks ago.
I tied to update my previous review but I can't.
My brows are awful! They have faded but they are still so dark. They were meant o be a dark blonde they at a dark brown. I'm having to cover them with thick foundation every day to dull them.
I paid $1000 for his procedure. I'm not going back for the touch up. I'm going to try and lighten them with glycemic acid as a friend didn't this with her botch job and it worked. I did my research and put my trust in this person!

I'm based in Sydney and I totally understand your pain! The week before Christmas I went and had microblading done at supposedly the best place in Sydney (months and months of wait lists, $1k cost) but the brow artist seemed rushed and distracted. Didn't listen to my concerns, added too many strokes at the front and my dark brown brows healed grey! I didn't go for the touch up either (good decision on your part too!). I had to cut a fringe just to have confidence in work situations (I work in media) and am now starting the process of removal which will take months and months. PM if you want to chat with someone who knows what you are going through. Believe me I saw every expert afterwards (dermatologist, tattoo removal experts, plastic surgeon you name it and this from a girl who has never even tried Botox or anything more drastic than a facial before this! I've also one enough research into pigments and iron oxide and microblading technique itself after my botched job that I could write a bloody book about it. When I went back to talk to the salon owner I swear I knew more about it than her! So I know how much you would be freaking out and also understand how much it can shatter your confidence and make you so mad at yourself - this has triggered all my insecurities and pushed all my perfectionist buttons.

I not understand why I'm seeing so many extremes after only first visit! The initial visit should be one extremely minimally to ensure color selection is on point, healing goes well, an the client has adequate time to ease into seeing themselves with a new shape/fullness/darkness in brows. I'm so sorry you ladies are going through this. It is so upsetting to me for you and also for my industry. I wish you the best of luck in fading them to something you are more comfortable with!

I just dont know what to do! The colour was meant to be dark blonde and it's far from that. I've had a look at the photos she has put up of other brows and mine is the same colour as the "brown". I have very light blonde hair. I feel like I have to dye it brown :(

Dispute it with your credit card company/bank. The service was not as promised.

saline, salt water soaks works well
July 8, 2017
Unfortunately that only works with fresh microblading while the cuts are still open (before it scabs over and heals). Quite a few people have done a DIY removal job here with purified salt water and/orhydrogen peroxide and antiseptic wipes. If I had seen this website or known about it i would have tried that myself before the cuts healed.

How are you going now? That's a lot of money to pay for a premium treatment and not get what you asked for.. . So disappointing that they can get away with this. Can I ask which place did the microblading?

They are F&@$ed! Absolutely awful. I hate them. I have to try cover them every day with makeup. They are so dark and thick.

Use products with retanol in them and exfoliate often. Sun bathing will also fed them faster.

My keyboard sucks on this too lol
I have been using glycoli acid wash, and retinal morning and night for 2 weeks. No change :(

Week 6 of microbladed brows
sls1985July 27, 2017
This is what my brows look like after 6 weeks, so at this stage they should have lightened a lot by now, I asked for dark blonde and I have been given brown. They didn't shrink as I was told they would. They are dark, heavy and very thick. Too thick for my face. I absolutely hate them and I cover them every day with foundation. I've also had to dye my hair darker.

So sorry that you still don't like them :( I can't see the updated picture but I'm sure they aren't as bad as you feel, as everyone is always way more critical of themselves! I heard that Retin A cream is good for fading as it increases the regeneration of skin cells? And getting like peel facials? Hopefully once you've faded them you'll feel more comfortable with the look [RS bleep]

So sorry to hear that! I really hope she gives you your money back. I'm flying over for my second removal treatment in two weeks. They lightened up a bit the first time (and importantly my skin wasn't damaged by the removal) but it's going to be a long process to get rid of these things. At least four treatments. Microblading = biggest mistake ever!

There is ink removal (saline and X-out) which is done using the same process as microblading and will remove the ink that was deposited (don't do lasers, they will cause scaring). Corinne Asch author of The Microblading Bible

I had q-switched laser removal and experienced absolutely NO scarring. None whatsoever! My skin looks exactly like it did Before the laser removal.

Oh God! Soooo many people scared of the laser! This is the best route I am scheduled for laser removal with the Nd YAG 1064nm laser and if you want to have the slightest chance that your skin looks like it was before the tattoo you NEED to do laser!!!! Saline and other procedures are abrasive and WILL cause scarring!

October 31, 2017
That is not true saline will not cause scarring if it is done correctly. Use a laser or the saline method incorrectly and either can cause scarring. The persons skin type needs to be taken into consideration and she should wait three months after having them done so the skin is in good health again before doing it. I get 80-90% removal in one saline treatment when the brows have been microbladed with pigment made for permanent makeup. Not such great results on the full tattooed brows done with body ink. A couple of saline treatments then a laser one seem to work best for those. Treatments can NOT be done the other way around since the laser actually pushes some of the color deeper into the dermis making it impossible to be saline removed after a laser treatment so make sure if you go the laser route you can afford to have multiple laser treatments, you may need a few.
People really need to do their homework when choosing a permanent makeup artist so they don't get into this mess of a situation in the first place. Saving $100 or more is not worth the price they will have to pay to have it fixed or the cost of living with a messed up face for the rest of their lives. There is a good reason some artists charge twice as much as others, that reason is the amount they have invested in trainings (I spent $30,000 and the girl down the street spent $2,800 so of course I charge more than her but I also do a better job and can offer a powder brow to someone that is not a good candidate for microblading, not everyone is) and wether or not they have insurance. Good luck with our removal I hope it works out for you :)

What would make someone not a good candidate for microblading? Also, in what instances is a powder brow a better option than microblading? Just wondering . . . :-).

Very oily skin or a textured surface (pore holes, pick marks, scars) will not get a good healed result from microblading.
