Week 6 update

- Still not noticing a huge difference, progress has been gradual and very slow
- A few small lumps still palpable however most have gone down
- At this stage I think any further improvement will be minimal
- Pretty disappointed at this stage so for me not worth the financial investment, it is probably just my jaw structure and not sure anything can be done about that.

Hi, I was looking at your pics side by side. I can tell a difference. It's not huge but you definitely look thinner in that area. Also your jawline is more defined. I have another post op next week. I will let you know what they say. I will say I am happy with my jawline but not the pocket of fat under the chin. I have that indentation under the chin also.

I think you paid a lot of money for a relatively simple procedure. I would not be happy with this result. I think you should ask for a revision, there's hardly any change. It doesn't harm to ask, go for it.

I'm pretty sure I know which Doctor you went with!
I'm 30 as well - 5'10 (70kgs) I had a similar procedure done in sydney (double bay) with a well known doctor who used vaser lipo for my under chin area. My jaw/neck was very bloated looking for about 6 weeks. It has been over 3 months now and while it is better - I don't think it turned out quite as well as they tend to advertise on their websites. Losing a bit of weight aided in my overall effect but I'm considering something along the lines of a mini tuck or some additional skin tightening laser treatments.
All the best :)

I saw my surgeon a few days ago at 5 weeks post op for me and he said 5 weeks was VERY early on in the healing process. He said with this procedure it's the gift that keeps on giving for 5 months. So remember you are still really early in the healing process.

I can tell some difference. You definitely need to take your original pics and these and compare them side by side. That's been helpful for me. To be honest I would though expect a bigger change. Did your doctor tell you how much he took out or did any of your consults mention fat that could be under the muscle ? I read some people had to get a different procedure done bc of that and to tighten the muscles as just chin lipo wouldn't fix the problem. Maybe keep wearing the chin strap at night and also remember low salt diet helps also to reduce swelling !!

Day 26 update

- I feel the lumps are getting smaller however am not sure if this is noticeable
- Progress still very slow and it is not noticeable to anyone I have had a procedure done
- Front profile has probably slightly improved however side profile is the same if not worse than before
- Still being patient however at nearly 4 weeks post at this stage I would say this hasn't been worth it

Fingers crossed you feel happier with it in time mate. I'm the same age as you and considering getting it done so I'd be keen to keep a track on your progress.

I am 2 days behind you. I feel like I need more fat removed. I still have a double chin. Did you talk to them about a revision ?

- Lumps and scar tissue are large and mainly on the right side
- Most of the swelling is gone now, just mainly scar tissue
- I feel the sides of my chin have improved slightly however the profile view is no better
- At the stage I would say there is a 10-20% improvement at best however not very noticeable
- Disappointed at this stage as I feel there would need to be significant improvements in the coming months for this to be worthwhile or noticeable
- Would be interested in other peoples thoughts on the progress
