Natural aid for fighting melasma

Well my melasma started 6 years ago, I had no idea what it was. I just thought it was patches of sun damage, until one trip to India and it was disgusting... all down the sides of my cheeks and forehead... I was utterly miserable, this is when the research started I thought the malaria tablets caused it. I came off the birth control pill had been on it for 12 years, this didn't help ... I went to a dermatologist all the regular treatments provided, pigmanorm... chemical peels, thiospot ( this did help a little ) I did ask the derm about nutrition but was told to eat standard healthy diet.
This is when I took it upon myself to delve deeper, I went to a food intolerance test, which was holistic / acupunctural and after an hour of being in there ... yeast & candida were my hot intolerances. The lady helped me understand that the pill had massively unbalanced my hormones in a bad way! So even being off the pill didn't resolve the yeast overgrowth in my body.... Straight away I did a candida cleanse and illimination of other foods for 12 weeks ( also sugar this massively feeds candida )
A lovely lady on ' real self ' helped me with a post about natural treatments so I tried healthy supplements such as pro biotic, milk thistle, vitamin c, vitamin b, mulberry leaf ... to try and cleanse my body, it was slow ( melasma is a beneign condition that the doctors do not know the root cause there are many triggers, it can also be leaky gut, hereditary, sun damage, hormones, stress, gluten, arenal fatigue etc ....) but I truly believe as we are different something is unbalanced in our bodies and until we cure that, we will get the pigmentation marks.
What has worked for me is the most natural thing in the world and one of the ingredients, I actually call the holy grail - turmeric ! I make a smoothie every day for breakfast which has the following :
This kicks the arse out of candida !!!...
1 banana
1 apple ( I use pink lady)
1 or 2 inch of almond milk in bottom of blender / smoothie maker
1 inch of fresh turmeric
1 inch of fresh ginger
Handful of fresh parsley
Handful of fresh spinach
I have been taking this consistently since the beginning of November and it is the ONLY thing that has lightened my marks, to the point my confidence is back I can see them breaking up ! I do need to be careful / go easy with sugar and bread too though.
My mum and friends have commented on my skin ..... I'm sharing this post in the hope I can help people, as I know how depressing melasma is ! But keep the faith... I said I would never give up and I didn't : )
Lots of love [RS bleep]
