Week 5

Well I'm at a little over 5 weeks since I had the procedure and I feel great. The swelling is completely gone
(Been gone since about the 2nd week) and the numb feeling is gone as well. I experienced some minor itching on my stomach around week 2 or 3, but it went away after a few days. I'm seeing results especially in the lower stomach area where I had a pootch before. Also, the "spare tire" I once had on my lower stomach is definelty smoother and barely visible. I would recommend this procedure to anyone and everyone! It will still be a few weeks before I see all the results but so far I am a happy customer. I haven't been exercising (busy schedule) but I did start eating healthier. Seeing results pushed me to want to diet and I plan on starting to go to the gym again when my schedule gets less hectic.

After a lot of research I decided to have the procedure done. I'm 28, in decent shape (I'm within 12-15 lbs of my ideal weight) and was just wanting to get rid of my problem area. I decided to have 4 sections done on my stomach using the small applicator. 2 to both sides of my lower abdomen and 2 to both sides of my upper abdomen (covering my whole stomach area) Each site cost $600 and I got 4 sections done. Here is my journey with Cool Sculpting.
Day 1- felt very excited going in. Took a series of photos and then she marked up the areas I was getting done with a pen. We decided to do the lower abdomen first (which in my opinion had more fat to lose than the upper) she put this gel goopy pad on the area (felt very cold! )and then attached the machine. I was surprised how much suction was in that machine! It felt like a "pinching" feeling, not as in pain but if you were to grab some skin and pull AWAY from the body. Then the cool feeling started kicking in, still no pain. Feels a little weird/uncomfortable and cold for about 5 mins then it just goes numb. At about an hour you start to feel the machine loosening the suction and it makes a pulsing feeling as it starts slowly letting go of the fat. No pain at all. After an hour she removed the machine and my stomach just looked red, no brusing or swelling in my opinion. I touched it and it felt cold and numb, kinda just looked like a frozen blob of fat :) next is the massage: she rubbed it I guess to bring back circulation to the area for about 30 seconds. It was uncomfortable, like pushing on a bruise. Or when u have a knot in your back and you push on it. Not painful but you kinda hold your breath bc it's uncomfortable. Got both lower areas done no problem, so we moved on to the upper area. Pretty much the same as the lower just a slightly more pinching feeling since I had less skin to pull and the skin is slightly more sensitive up there. Again goes numb after about 5-7 minutes and after an hour the massage felt the same as when she rubbed the lower section. Total time 4 hours and all the areas stayed numb the whole time I was there. I read reviews that about 10 minutes after the machine gets taken off it starts to "thaw out" and hurts severely/cramping and contractions like child birth ( I did not experience that at all, it stayed numb and didnt hurt whatsoever, every once in a while I would feel a little tingle like a vibrate feeling in the area that had already been done, but no pain or cramping like I read in some of the other reviews. ) Who knows maybe the worst is yet to come! About to the leave the office (yep, I wrote this while I was having it done so I remembered exactly how I felt) will keep you all posted with my experience.

Day 2/3- feels numb still. Took a couple Advil thinking I might need them to sleep at night but I don't think I need them. Just feels sore when I touch it, like I worked out hard at the gym. No bruising or pain just pretty swollen like PMS bloating and still very numb.

Day 4- numbness is wearing off but still numb. Still bloated and starting to feel sore. Not painful but very tender and sore. I've been taking it easy however I think I over did it today (ran errands for about 7 hours straight) so I think thats why I feel the discomfort. Took Advil and put ice bags on my tummy and I feel a lot better! After relaxing the rest of the night I felt great.

Day 5/6- so from all of the reviews I've read so far I was NOT looking forward to day 5! From everything I read day 5 is suppose to be where the cramping and sharp pains start however, I haven't experienced any of that. Day 5 and 6 were pretty much the same, just sore and tender to touch. Every once in awhile I get a tingle feeling, I think it's from the numbness wearing off. And for some weird reason my belly button is itching. I play indoor soccer and practiced and had a game and I felt fine. It was sore when I ran but I just took a few Advils before.

Day 7- Today the pain started. It is very tender and sore when I touch my stomach. It's not a cramping feeling, more like shooting/sharp pain. I had to work today (16 hour shift) so that probably was a main reason for the level of discomfort. I took a few Motrin in the morning and evening and it helped a lot. I'd say the pain was a 3 or 4, it was very uncomfortable but I didn't find it unbearable or the need to get the prescription I've read about in other reviews. Still very swollen, and I don't see any results yet.

Day 8-10 I think the worst is over. I haven't experienced any pain or discomfort since day 7, and fortunately it only lasted about 1 day. I feel great! It doesn't hurt, is no longer numb and the swelling is starting to go down. I will continue to post my progress and upload pictures, feel free to contact me if you have any questions :)
