Abdominal Liposuction, Dr. Arthur Tjandra

Seven months after my successful thigh liposuction at Dr. Arthur’s clinic (previous post can be found https://www.realself.com/review/medan-52-years-thigh-liposuction-medan), I proceeded with the second phase of my liposuction plan, this time the abdominal. My intention was to remove the love handles and the bulging tummy. The surgery covered 5 areas of my abdomen (including the upper tummy) as Dr. Arthur called it a 3-dimensional liposuction. Going in for the second time for liposuction though I knew what to expect of the procedures did not take away my anxiety but it was a mixture of excitement as well. As usual, Dr. Arthur made some markings on the areas and he remarked that there isn’t much fat to be removed. I saw a tinge of disappointment in his expression – maybe he was hoping that with a little more fat to be removed, the results are better. I don’t know as I was just guessing.
The surgery was done in 3 hours under awake liposuction. Finally, I stood up and what I saw in the mirror was unexpected. In any cosmetic surgery, this is the most important moment of all; expectation meets reality. Surprisingly the results turned out well though it was only 0.8lt of fat removed. Little did I expect that other than love handles gone, I have a new waistline! From the photos, one can see that initially I had a very square / boxy waist (no waist at all) but Dr. Arthur had managed to resolve that and now I have a more feminine body. What a pleasant surprise. Dr. Arthur’s works just get better each day. And with that, I would pursue with my last and final phase – more to come…The photos shown here were taken 1 day after the surgery. Hence, there were some bruises and swelling.
