UPDATED FROM boswellgirl

Balloon was out a week ago!!

boswellgirl
WORTH IT$7,500
The balloon removal took 9 minutes. It was easier to breathe and so my exercise program can go a bit harder and longer now. Still not hungry and very careful to not fall back into old habits. We leave on a walking tour of Germany soon, so that will be much easier 60 pounds lighter! I'll still be seeing nutricianist for 6 months.

Wow, you look great! You look so much younger to. I hope you enjoyed your vacation. Quick question how do you qualify for this surgery? I am 168 and 5'4. I would like to be 135.

I’m scheduled for placement on Tuesday 1/16. It is not covered by insurance and your BMI has to be within a range of 30-40. I’m barely qualifying myself at BMI of 30.5, I’m 5’5” and 183.

What is the cost? I'm seriously considering. My daughter is getting married in six moths. I'd like to lose 30/40 lbs.

Balloon out next week!

boswellgirl
Well the balloon comes out next week, and of course the hard work comes at keeping weight off. I have 6 more months with a nutritionist, so I'll concentrate on 1400 calories a day to keep off the 60 pounds I lost. I am taking a plastic bag so I can keep the balloon when it comes out. It'll be a conversation starter, later....

Wow you look amazing and years younger. I have lost about 15 kgs so far. Another 7kg for me and then will try to maintain with balloon in for the last couple of months. I agree the nutricianist and psychologist is key. It has been for me so far.

Orbera out in 4 weeks

boswellgirl
Well it has been 5 months and I have lost 57 pounds. Key is tracking calories, carbs under 80 grams a day, protein at about 90 grams. I could keep up swimming laps almost everday on about 1000 calories. Working with the nutritionist to figure out the maintenance plan once the balloon is out.

boswellgirl, this is great news and very encouraging because I to am following the program as far as eating and exercising and I can only pray to have such great results, please keep up the good work and keep us informed its very helpful to hear encouraging results from people. I had my Orbera placed 10/16/17 at 212lbs today 10/29/17 down 13lbs so about a pound a day for me and hoping by this time next month 25-31lbs I'd be happy need to lose roughly 55-60 lbs total. I'm working hard I know I can do it.

Good for you! Great results. I’ve had my balloon for a month and I’ve just hit the 9kg loss (about 20lb?) I’m hoping to keep it going and reach similar to you! It’s hard work- not just the balloon. Everyday I have to work in will power. I’ll get there!
