Even though I'm very pleased over all with the results from my TT that I had 6 months ago, for some reason my scar line didn't flatten out all the way. My hip area stayed cinched and I'm going to see my surgeon to see what can be done about it. I love my doctor and he did a phenomenal job. I think that some of the internal sutures didn't dissolve on the ends but I guess I'll know more when I see him this week. I think this is just a fluke with me and I'm sure he'll know exactly what to do to get it to look the way it's supposed to.

You look amazing I had my tummy tuck and Lipo today I hope my results turns out as nic as yours.Ive been resting today but I'm in absolutely no pain(That's a good thing)I haven't seen my belly yet I have an doc apptmt with dr Leedy tomorrow I'm guessing I'll see my scar,belly and belly button then

Dr Leedy is absolutely awesome and he is truly a gifted surgeon. When I look at my before picture and what I look like now, I sometimes can't believe it's me! My body isn't perfect, especially with the stretch marks and all but I am so much happier and have no regrets whatsoever.
Because I've been heavy my whole life, I never wore a bikini and now that I'm 51, I really have no intentions of wearing one now either. I did this to feel better about myself and I'm amazed at the difference that 4# of loose skin removed made. I think you're gonna LOVE your new shape and I hope you have as wonderful and easy of a recovery that I had! Happy healing to you! :)

you do look so good, can I ask why it was 10,600 did you have more than a tt done, or is that traveling cost also I want good work, but gotta watch my money

I rounded the number up and that included both the doctor's fee, and the hospital's. I feel my doctor was worth every penny and the hospital that I had the surgery was amazing!

Oh, forgot to answer your other question! I had a tummy tuck and lipo to shape me at the waist. My doctor charged approx $7900 but that included a garment, scar treatment cream and cosmetic surgery insurance. The rest of the fee was the hospital charges including anesthesia and pre-op requirements. Hope that helps! :)

thanks for responding back to me a plastic surgeon told me yesterday I still needed to lose 25 more lbs and I am 175 right now I will think about the liposuction too like you did I was upset I've lost 23 since last January

My doctor only did a little bit of liposuction to shape me at the waist. I lost 10 lbs before my surgery (I was 165# the day of my sx) and I've lost 9 lbs since having surgery and 4# of that was the loose skin Dr Leedy removed. As much as I'd like to lose another 5-10 lbs, I probably won't. Since hitting menopause, it seems so much harder but compared to 20 yrs ago when I weighed 240 lbs, I think I'm finally in a good place! I can live with being around 155 pounds. Do what is best for you and good for you for losing 23 lbs! I wish you all the best and hope you have as good of an experience with your TT as I did :)

Wow C that is such a difference, but we have to be fully happy and others say we need to voice these concerns on the incisions early and not Wait!!! He sure did a great job but healing is variable but I know for my work I want the best in what I do, hope our PSs want that too. Got my angels that have passed before me rooting too!!!

Feeling pretty good and all is back to normal. My only issues throughout this whole process has been daily swelling and these crazy muscle spasms I have when I first wake up. I've been having them since about weeks 2-3 post op and they've continued ever since. My doctor said some pts experience them and they should go away eventually as the abdominal muscles and scar tissue continue to heal. I see him in a couple weeks and I'm planning to ask him more ques to see if there's anything I can do to make them diminish quicker. They don't last long but it sure gets old fast when they happen every morning upon awakening. Still, to me it's a small price to pay for the body I've longed for my entire life!
I've never had a flat belly and never wore a bikini. I still won't because of my ugly stretch marks from pregnancy but I did manage to sneak a pair of my daughter's undies and whaddya know, they don't look half bad on this 51 yr old gal?! Lol!
I'm glad I did this and it's wonderful to finally like what I see in the mirror. After losing 85# on my own, I'm enjoying buying my new size 12 pants and size L tops (another first ????) and truly FEELING better about myself. I'd have never thought that removing just 4# of loose skin could make such a difference but it has. And I'll always be grateful to Dr Leedy for helping me finally get to where I want to be!

You look flat and gorgeous! It is really exciting to get to wear new undies. I went through the stage where that was my 'thing" to buy. Lots and lots of adorable panties lol

I have my surgery coming up in a few weeks and I’m nervous. I was reading in the comments above about how much weight you lost beforehand and I’m starting off much bigger than you. I’m weighing in around 200lbs. Pound wise it will be around 5# but I’m loosing inches - I think they said around 4 inches! Why do they make you loose all that weight first? Do you even need the TT if you’ve lost the weight?
