After having my son my weight has fluctuated but no matter how much I lost I always had the "shelf". After getting Juvederm at Luxe Laser Center I started looking into the SmartLipo pamphlets I saw around the Center...I decided to take the plunge and scheduled it the same day as the consultation. Dr. Banker was very kind, energetic and completely upfront about what he felt he could do with my body. The procedure itself took around 7 hours for upper and lower abdomen, flanks and back with the laser skin tightening as well. A local anesthetic was used along with the tumescent fluid and I was awake and taking the the Dr. and assistants during the entire procedure! I'm only 8 days out right now, but the swelling and pain are finally starting to really subside...I am so excited to see my final results months down the road, but for now I am one happy customer!

I've been massaging the harder areas, which seems to make the swelling go up a little more during the course of the day. These pics are from first thing in the AM. Loving everything so far!! Why is this sharpie so hard to get off lol?!

Try rubbing alcohol to get the maker off. You are looking great! My tummy looks just like yours and my lipo is scheduled for the 9th

Ah, I'll definitely have to pick some up, thank you!! I dont know why I didn't think of rubbing alcohol!
Yay, I hope you love your results!! The skin tightening takes more time but the initial size difference makes it feel so worth it already!

Is your doctor in Toledo ? Also how long would you say you could go back to work and were you in a lot of pain ? Or could you take care of yourself ? And no drains for this procedure ?

Dr. Banker is in Maumee, Ohio so not too far from Toledo. I had the procedure done on a Tuesday and was at work by Thursday. I would NOT recommend this. I was in so much pain, honestly the worst pain I've ever felt. I needed someone to drive me home and I was able to take care of myself but there were a few times I almost passed out which could have been dangerous. I ended up staying at my parents house that weekend just to make sure I was okay. No drains, but they leave the incision sites open so it can drain out that way. I had to sleep/lay/sit on towels for a few days as it drained quite a bit.

Thank you so much for posting! Our bodies look so similar and I'm considering the same procedure with dr banker. I would be curious to see how you progress and if you're have with your results over the next month or two. Please keep on posting!

Yay I'm so glad my review will be helpful! It was so scary going into the procedure not seeing any before and after of other clients (I didn't ask; I'm sure if I had they would have obliged!).
I am SO happy with the results so far. I'll post my official 2 week results tonight. I'm definitely still swollen but every day there's more and more progress. I'm supposed to go from wearing the compression garment from 23 hrs a day to 12 hrs a day as of tomorrow but it's honestly so comfortable I think I'll just continue wearing it all day. I'll definitely keep posting!! Dr. Banker was great!

What type of garment do you have? Did the doctor provide it or did you have to purchase it yourself? Yes your review is very helpful so please keep the update pictures going :) .. Oh and last question how soon were you able to return to work?

I'll definitely continue posting--I'm so so glad it's a helpful review! I was given the garment by the office, I believe each Office would provide the garment as you have to wear it right out the door. They measured me at my pre-op appointment and had it for me when I came in for the procedure. It's a full body garmet, starts right below my boobs and it goes all the way down to my legs, like shorts. It has zippers and clasps on both sides as well as straps...and it's crotchless, so you can use the restroom without removing the whole thing (lifesaver!!!). I think I'm going to go purchase a new garment myself though because this one is now almost too big for me.
I had my procedure on a Tuesday and returned to work Thursday. I would NOT recommend doing that. It's much more painful than I had expected and I was miserable. Honestly if you get it done on a Thursday and return Monday you'd probably in a much better position, but it really is quite painful for about 1.5 weeks.
Oh! I also ended up using a maxi pad (left the paper on so it wasn't sticky) and stuck it in my garment at the top, it started rubbing on my skin right below my chest. Helped a lot! I'll post a pic of my garment, too. :)

I went for a consult and my surgeon seems to think that my biggest difference will be in my back, even though my belly seems to have the most fat. Our stomachs are similar except my skin is a little more lose. Did the surgeon say to you that there would be a big change or a small on in your abdomen?
