Unnatural Veneer & Crown Shape

So I posted an "ask a doctor" question on here and received answers that confirmed my feelings. The shape of this crown and veneer is wrong. They bow outward which not only looks unnatural but they also protrude beyond teeth #7 and #10. So basically I paid $3100 for a crown, veneer and gum contouring only to need all three redone after I move. Feeling depressed and disappointed. I regret getting any of it done while on Maui. My orthodontist wanted all the dental work done before scanning me for Invisalign retainers. But in hindsight I should have just had my retainer scan and handled the dental work later on after I moved, then get rescanned for new retainers. Ugh. Oh well what's done is done. I still feel my dentist did his best and he worked hard to get the color to match, I appreciate his efforts. I haven't reviewed my laser gum contouring experience yet so I'll do that next in a separate review post.

Adjusting To New Veneer & Crown

Been feeling some anxiety about the width and rounded shape of my new veneer and crown on my front teeth. I understand they needed to be a certain width to fill the space but it still looks weird to me. My natural tooth and old crown were so much slimmer looking with straighter edges and they filled the same space just fine. I guess I didn't realize how bulky veneers actually are, I always had this vision of veneers being automatically "perfect" but that's simply not the case. I'm doing my best to adjust to them. I asked my orthodontist what he thought today and he agreed they look a bit wide but suggested I give it at least 6 months and maybe I'll end up liking them.

Natural Tooth Before Veneer

This pic is my natural right front tooth before getting the veneer. The left front tooth is a 15 year old crown.
