So far everything goes well. My swelling gets better each day, with the exception of al liitle swelling above the incision line. The only thing that slowly improves is my skin around my belly button. It is still loose a little bit, but better than a month ago. I can do excercise , ab work , twisting , without any problem. I hvnt been on this site a while, life is so busy.

You look great....I'm feeling better about doing this now! Thanks for sharing/updating!
I'm amazed at the difference between day 1 and 2 months...you look amazing you should be happy and belly button looks great. You are giving me some hope that my loose skin on belly will get better... Fingers crossed! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, i think your skin should improve over time as well. Sometimes i am just too exhausted trying to think if it will get better or not., Dont let it bother you too much , i am trying to be patient as well but also doing evrything to help improve the elasticity and the tightness.
You look great!!
How is your pleating? I still have some and I'm 3 months post. I'm pretty sure it's going to have to be fixed :(
No pleating anymore, the scar is healing great and it s getting better since the swelling subsides. I hope yours get better soon too

7 weeks post op, ready to go back to workout

I am 7 weeks post op today. Evrything goes well ( swelling is still present ), no seroma, no pain, no itching or any complication. My weight yesterday at the office was 106 lbs. My PS checked on me and told me to start working on my ab to strengthen my core muscle ( yippeee!! ) . I didnt work out for the past 7 weeks, so i am ready for that. My incision line is so fine and thin. I am super happy with that. There is no raising skin and the color looks good. On the side there are some pleating which i believe due to my swelling. I started using scarway silicone sheet over my incision. No oil or anything under that. Skin at my abdominal is getting better from Bio oil + massage combination. So far i am happy with the progress.

Wow! You look great! I'm so nervous to do this but hopeful at same time. thanks for posting...it helps to know what to expect!
Look at you!!! You look beach ready even without the workouts! Look into the Tuppler Technique for your abdominal exercises. There is a woman on here 1 1/2 years post op that swears by it. She said crunches and planks just bloated her. But the Tuppler actually pulled her core in and helped with swelling. I can even forward her private message that she sent me with how to do it. Check your inbox. I am doing it and love it!
Thx i just got ur message. Perfect timing!!! Yesterday my PS said that my ab muscle sticks out a bit because of its weakness. I ll start doing tuppler, maybe after my lunch and power nap. :D
Can you send me the info too?? I would like to start reading up on that for when I can start exercising.
Oh hey!!! Can you send me the instructions for the elevator too??
Sure! And make sure to check out AmyS33 review. She is the one that got me started on it :)
I'd like to add that I am not a fan of the Tupler Technique as it requires a splint that is not practical/is frustrating and the methods can be tedious. I'm part of the Diastatis Recti board on FB and there's way more happy stories about the MuTu System (Mummy Tummy) or CarrieFit. P.S. The elevator talks about engaging your core, but the other methods I listed educates on how all the muscles are connected and provides exercises to strengthen your entire core, not just one area. They also include info on nutrition, alignment, exercise and more. If you are interested in Tupler, please research the others, too!
Lottie95...thank you for sharing that! I will definitely be checking them both out. Anything that can help us maintain our nice new core is worth the effort. I am already a big fan of kegels, but not as consistent as I know I should be. :( Any good kegel like exercises you know of as well?
Thx Lottie , i ll look it up according to ur advice
Can you please send me the info on the Tupler and elevator exercises upnorthmom??
Lottie, what is the name of that group you mentioned? ?
Sure!
You look great! I was going to say the same thing about Tuppler exercises or MuTu core exercises. They are programs that help with DR muscle repair (mine was just too far in) but focus on pulling I. Esther than pushing out. :) I'm at 5 weeks tomorrow for a full TT with muscle repair so thanks for showing your progress!
Thx ladies for all the support and useful info for workout. I did try some move and feel like it s gonna be great for toning the body.
Yay for 7 weeks! I still haven't been able to do ab workouts but I'm back to lifting weights. Twisting is still irritating but it's getting better. Did your dr say that pleating on the end would go away? All of my pleating is gone except one spot on the end and I'm thinking it's going to need revised unfortunately. You are looking great and so dang tiny!
Thx for a compliment. My scar 'so pleating is much less noticeable and the line doesnt have any raising appearance. Most of the color is the scab which when it comes off , i can barely notice my scar. Right now im not too concerned my about that. I feel like the pleating is from my swelling. So basically, it ll eventually go away at the same rate. I just started doing ab workout to strengthen my muscle , so hopefully in a few weeks , i should look better. ( hope is what keeps me going)

6 weeks post op scar update

My scar is doing ok. I hvnt started using any scar treatment or scar sheet yet. The only thing i hv been doing is massage with light pressure over them. So far they look ok, no itching, or burning , and some area looks like the stitch has been gone ( mine is absorbable). There are some pleating which i think it will get better over time. My swelling is slightly better, last night i walked a lot and drank quite a bit, so it s more swollen than my normal morning. I still wear cg with topifoam 24/7 ( except shower time and massage time). I like it better with them. My next post op is next tuesday( 1 more week), i hope to get a green light for scar therapy and will ask if it s ok to wear cg all the time. I dont do any workout in particular yet but really miss my zumba.
