I had traditional liposuction 6 years ago. The surgeon had this bright idea to do ab sculpting which turned out to be a disaster of lumps everywhere. I had a six pack going in, and an up recognizable stomach at the end. I went to several doctors over the years and they all told me I had been to lean to perform such a procedure.

I read about hi-def lipo and contacted Dr Ishoo. I reserved a spot immediately and agreed to the $12k+ price tag because he seemed like he knew what I wanted and knew how to fix it. And he did mostly. It is not perfect, but I no longer look like I had a major chunk if my lower stomach operated on. I had my surgery in December, and this is the first time in 5 years I have taken off my shirt in the summer. And I am a gym rat, so 5 years if hiding my torso was- major blow to my ego.

That is the positive side of my story, Dr Ishoo never saw me post-surgery. NEVER! My surgery requires extensive daily draining and massage for weeks and THANK GOD for crystal! his technician. She took care of the draining, all the while telling me one excuse after the other why he couldn't see me. At the end of December they said he had ruptured his pelvis in a skiing accident and was out until the end if February. After 2weeks of seeing Crystal every day, she removed my drains and we tapered off the days for draining and massage. I was told to come back in early March. BUT, when I called, the Dr was not available again. He had an emergency that forced him to return to his home country, and that basically was it. They never answered their phones in Briokline or Marshfield after that. I visited both offices and found them closed.

Of course I was freaked. The results looked good, but are there things I could have done for them to be better? Was there any abnormality that a trained, board-certified surgeon would see upon an examination? I'll never know. I reported him to the Massachusetts medical board to make sure they knew he had disappeared.

I hope they remove his top doctor rating on here, as it doesn't speak well of their rating system.
