WORTH IT$6,500
So, about 4 years ago I had a mini TT, from Dr. E. She did an excellent job, could not be happier with the results, worth every penny. At the same time, I also considered a BA, but of course did not have the money for both. Having 2 c-sections, my stomach bothered me more. So, fast forward a few years, gravity is taking its toll. I had a consultation with Dr. E about a week ago. My BW is 14 and she recommended moderate plus saline cc's, to be determined at surgery. I am guessing around 300 to 350, as I would like to be a full C. Since, I have been going back and forth on whether or not to do it. I have no doubt she will do a great job, but I am second guessing and I am very nervous. Am I too old, should I spend all this additional money on myself, will I regret my decision? Ugh!

43 isn't to old, I'm only 24like, but I know a lot of older (not old) people haveing them done, at the end of the day it's your money and your life if this will make you happy go for it, you can't put a price on happiness and as for age 24,42 or 65 it doesn't matter in my opinion x

As mothers, we give so much of ourselves to our family. We do everything for everyone else and we hardly take care of ourselves. We only have this one life, we should be enjoying it. You are NOT too old! You still have a lot of life to live, why not enjoy it at its full potential! Just my two cents. Moms always feel the guilt of spending that money on themselves instead of their kids. It's just a natural nurturers instinct, nothing more. You deserve it!

You are so right! Life is too short! Thank you!

I am 47 and just did it, I had the same thoughts you did. But thought it is now or never. I find myself taking care of everyone else and thought I am going to start doing things to make me feel good. Yes it is a lot of money but we are worth it. I also had a consult with Dr E but ended up going with Dr Ali, she is also local.

When it comes to something so personal as a BA, its easy to feel guilty about spending a lot of money and pain for something elective. My friend put it very succinctly to me, "no one needs boobs, you just want em." I believe life is too short to not take measures that we humanly can to improve our quality of life. I have no regrets whatsoever and didn't pay any attention to the negative nancys. good luck and hope you are happy with whatever decision you make!

I have to agree with the girls comments above. I am a single mother (35 yrs old this summer) and I too struggled with guilt over the decision which is why I waited years before going through with my BA. I believe that life is too short to be so unhappy with some parts of ourselves that diet and exercise alone can't rectify. We devote our lives to our beloved children as mothers and I think it's totally okay to want to reclaim a bit of that pre baby body. My before and afters are just so worth it for myself even just to change and shower- I feel feminine again! You deserve to put some of your hard earned money towards that happiness as well. A happy and healthy mom is a better mom in my opinion! I hope for the best for you!

So my surgery date is May 21. I figured the holiday weekend would give me plenty of time to recover, and it's a kid free weekend too. Thank you to those who replied to my post. You really helped me make my final decision. So, now it will be looking through pictures to bring to my pre-op. I am currently a 34b, and hope to be a full C.
