don’t do it

I was on spiro for four month in the winter.... i have NEVER had skin this bad in my life. Spiro induced my skin into this condition. Read my accutane review to see real results...

I am 20 years old and since I was 18 I started...

I am 20 years old and since I was 18 I started getting acne on my cheeks. I thought it would go away but did not and got worse right before I decided to try spiro. The dermatologist made it seem like a miracle drug, used it for two months, hated it, stopped taking the pills. I never felt dizzy or tired so I did not have an issue with that, I started with 50mg and upped to 100mg before stopping because my skin only got worse. Then, a month later, I went to another dermatologist and they recommended I get back on spiro. I had maybe one good skin day in the first month then it only got worse. By the third month I knew I was supposed to see results but my skin was the worst its been my entire life. This time I was on 100mg the entire three months. What really made me stop was getting my period / spotting for the ENTIRE third month. After four weeks of it and terrible skin I called my dermotolgist frantically and she prescribed 150mg and antibiotics, which was the opposite of a solution to my period problem and I was not willing to take antubiotics. Stopped spiro and after five months my skin is back to what it usually is (less bad than it was on spiro but with more scars) Now I'm going to start accutane. I have more hope for it. If you want a for sure solution I would skip spiro. It take a lot experimentation without much guarantee.
