finally.....

Finally an after surgery update!!!! Sorry ladies it took me so long, but this procedure is no problem, the problem is the recovery. Well let's start with 12-11 day before surgery. Left for Miami wasn't nervous at all yet. Got to Miami and the nerves met me at Spectrum doors. When arrived the office wasn't open yet, but the wonderful Karla answered my call and was there to help me. Me and honey decided to do some site seeing and then head to recovery house. The house and property gorgeous. Was meet by Carmen the person that would be taking care of me. One problem she spoke no English and we spoke no Spanish. It was really funny she was really a cutie. Karla again came to the rescue. They gave me wifi password info, download translator app and it was like being at grandma's house from then on. Wonderful family, great food and they eased my mind about procedure.

Morning of procedure the entire house was up and buzzing, got a moment to meet another female who just had the procedure. Miami traffic is a beast. My surgery time was @ 9am and I was worried we weren't going to make it. It didn't help that I left my phone back at the house, with my very important wish pic but all the numbers to the office. My honey made it work, he got there on time and had a copy of the wish pic I saved. I sooooo love him....lol.

Won't bore you with all the unnecessary info, but Dr. Ortega is a great man. I had nerves on top of nerves but after our convo and laughing session I was ready to go. Surgery went well, I got what I asked for little bit of hips and a booty. I slept forever they said, but I was sleepy anyway. When I got back to the house they all helped out. Now the only thing I didn't do was my massages. The lady had left right before I arrived and they hired a new person the day I was leaving. That was my only concern. Now my problem started leaving Miami. The flight back was horrible. When traveling back make sure you request medical help and the sitting restriction you need. The worst two hours of my life!!!!! Now I'm home trying to set up massages and have to realize life goes on for everyone around you....lol. Yes I have a month off but it's back to work for everyone else. Not driving to get to massages and surely not having someone come to my home...uuuggghhhh. Next problem is sleeping, if you don't sleep on your stomach and getting this procedure better start practicing now. It's pure hell. Have something to do, because on this site I saw people playing dress up, and taking pics smiling and nothing about bored mentally and physically. This is my second week after procedure and I am getting back into the swing of things. I purchased my own massage machine, talked to pcp and received a sleep aid. Ready to start taking those pics like everyone else. All in all this was something I wanted to do and I'm happy with my results. I will try to post some pics, lost a lot of photos grand daughter reset phone. Will post soon.

Excited and nervous

Hey Ladies....I haven't posted in a while button the site everyday reading about everyone's journey. Well it's almost my day is right around the corner. I have finally received almost all my supplies for traveling and for home. I still have to get a boppy pillow but not sure which is the best to get. Any suggestions on the correct boppy pillow is greatly appreciated. Today my nervous energy paid off. I'm up really early now so decided to clean house, decorate for the holidays. I put my tree up, inside and outside decorations up. Porch lights will be for tomorrow's task, along with wrapping the gifts I already purchased.
Decided on my one wish pic I am taking with me and very happy with my choice. My honey is just as excited as I am. I will post my before pics soon and try to post after pics the next day after surgery. Thanks Ladies for the advice, abundance of information and sharing your journeys .....SMOOCHES
