So happy...
So I am almost 10 months post breast augmentation and couldn't be happier! I do truly believe that it takes up to a year for the implants to settle in their pockets and feel soft and natural! I do wish I would've gone a hair bit bigger but I am enjoying the natural results!

I'm considering Dr. Cohen and have a consultation scheduled with him in a few weeks. Is he really personable with a good bedside manor? Anything I should know before going in for my consult? Lol I've had one other consult with a different PS so far.

Hi there! I did months and months of research on plastic surgeons in the Baltimore area! I went to three different doctors for consults! I am a nurse and I am super thorough in my research! I hands-down strongly recommend Dr. Cohen! He has fabulous bedside manner and he is a board-certified plastic surgeon! He is very well known for his natural results with breast augmentation! His staff are very personable and very educated in augmentations! If you decide to follow through with the surgery, get back in touch with me because I have lots of good information to give you! Be prepared for the first consultation that you will be trying on different sizes ranging in all different cc's! Most popular implants are the silicone implants. They have moderate profile and high-profile. Trust what he tells you because he is the expert! Sometimes I want to be too in control but with augmentation you have to leave it up to the experts! I went with 400 cc subpectoral bilateral mentor silicone high-profile implants. I have a small frame so it brought me to a D/DD! But if you look at me I look like I have a size C cup. I do recommend that if you are thinking of going with a certain size to go up one or two sizes (25-50cc'c bigger.) When you try on the implants over your skin and muscle they look very very huge! Once they're settled in the pocket underneath the muscle and the skin they don't look as big! Best of luck with your consul! Be prepared to be there for about an hour or two! I'm so excited for you! Please don't has to to get back in touch with me for any other questions especially if you follow through with the surgery!

I plan on going through with surgery at the beginning of June! Just trying to find "my" surgeon I feel comfortable with and so far Dr. Cohen is really impressive. I'm a CNA myself and very detail oriented and OCD and have been doing very extensive research myself lol. The first PS I consulted with only did 42 BA's last year, not something I feel comfortable with. Dr. Cohen's care coordinator said he does about 10 a week, I couldn't believe it!
I've been set on like 355cc MP's since my first consult but agree with you that I need to trust the professional who does this on a daily basis. ;) I'm just terrified of capsular contracture and hope Dr. Cohen will be able to ease my anxieties about that! I'm traveling an hour and a half to see him so I hope he's as fabulous as I've heard! :)

I will post a picture for you of my incisions. Keep in mind that everybody heals differently and some people develop keloids on their scars. I bought the biocorneum scar gel to put on incisions. I think I got it online I through Amazon it was a lot cheaper that way. I really like how Dr. Cohen stitches inside to hold the implant in place and externally. Some surgeons use dissolvable sutures but I like how Dr. Cohen uses a stronger stitch and has you come back in to get it removed. Capsular contracture unfortunately cannot be prevented by some people. The best way to prevent it though, is to do your daily massages that they teach you to do. I would instruct you to do that for six months to avoid contracture. Missy, Dr. Cohen's nurse, is great as well! I sent her tons of emails with tons of pictures asking questions throughout the process. She is very informative. Remember, plastic surgery is very competitive as well. Dr. Cohen is a little little pricier but I believe you pay for what you get! He was definitely about a grand higher than my other two surgery quotes. Best of luck and let me know if you have any other questions!!

Actually the price I was quoted for Dr. Cohen is only about $100 more than the one consult I already had with a PS who only did 42 BAs last year.. Doesn't make sense to me but I'm definitely going for natural/and quality! Thanks for all the info dear! :)
