The fat around the belly button just doesn't go...

The fat around the belly button just doesn't go way at 45. I was little more alert during the actual procedure then I expected; referred to as 'twilight'. The initial insertion points and numbing were all fine, minor pinching. I think there were 5 or 6. Two below bikini line two at the waist and not sure if there were two at the belly button. Initial slurping out of the fat also fine, minor tucking. I had 'harder' or 'ropier' fat under the soft fat, which had to be vibrated to be broken up. This lasted longer then the slurping portion as explained by Dr. Chasin, and it was a bit painful, especially around the belly button. felt lots of tugging. I got up and out of the bed a couple of times for inspection. I also had to shimmy back and forth across the bed to get closer to Dr. Chasin as he performed the vibrating as he went from one side to the other. This was not painful and it provided a break from the vibrating. I was given an additional pill what felt like half-way through the procedure- I think because I was a bit too alert. Dr. Chasin and the two wonderful women assisting kept it light- we talked about their pets , which helped distract me, was great actually. Once the vibrating was done I felt okay again. Things wrapped up quickly. I was assisted with the compression garment and went home. It was fast immediately following the procedure but not rushed. Everyone was attentive and I felt good and ready to go home. I took the prescribed pain medication only once a few hours after I got home so I could nap. There was some minor leaking from one of the lower insertion points during my nap. I have been wearing the compression garment pretty much all the time, I use panty-liners to protect the crotch and rinse every so often as well as the armpits. I blow-dry it so that i can put it right back on. I feel much better keeping it on all the time. They tell you to walk/stand for a half hour the first day but I don't think I was able to. I walked around a bit, but slept most of the day. The next day was so much better. No problem walking around and by day four (4), was out all day -on my feet in NYC. I am 6 days post op and things are great. my stomach is mostly flat a little bump at the belly button. It still hurts a little around the belly button. I have been massaging the area. The area around the belly button is a little hard and bumpy. I had a post op visit with Dr. Chasin yesterday and he said that would go away. I will update post with additional information.

Do you have any before and after pics? What was your weight prior to the surgery?

I am trying to get some before photos from the Dr. I did not take before photos. I am 5'-4" and about 125 lbs. I will update to include after photos.

Update

It has been 47 days post procedure and I am very happy with the results. The area below the belly button initially was stiff and bulged slightly. I massaged it often and I also went for endermologie, which also helped, and the bulge is no longer visible.
