Had Botox in Nov. Forehead & # 11 only. Had great results, but not so great side effects. I can't wait until it is out of my head! Still having left eye issues, dizziness, heavy head, etc. I don't want to try it again, even if it's a lower dose. What else can I do (less invasive) to keep my number 11's at bay? Other forehead lines are not a huge concern, at the moment. At home I use Retin A, daily SPF, Clarisonic and an eye cream. Thanks!

HI- I had some of the same problem with botox cause a headache and found it didn't last as long. My dr suggested i use Dysport- which is just like botox. Different unit measurements- but cost the same. No headache and the results last 6 months! Been using 4 years!

I'm afraid to get anything injected… Glad that's working for you. Maybe one day, I will try again.

Hmmm...Dysport is similar in composition and might cause the same effect. Belotero filler can be used in that area to soften the lines but won't freeze them or keep new wrinkle from forming. I love belotero!!! Depending on what you're looking for, I had great results with the "Frownies" strips on Amazonor at Sephora. Super inexpensive. 3 bucks per box. They are paper strips that have a glue side that's activated with water. They go on at night (when are muscles are supposedly most active). The notion is that they train you to not squinch. Either way, I loved my face until about 12pm...then the wrinkle came back. So I tried bangs...hated those....so I got the Botox. I had the same side effects as you the first time because I was overly treated. This time I got 17 units ONLYand love the result. My eye isn't twitching anymore... Lol!!!

Stay away from anything w/Botox and Dysport not worth it!!

I use the frownies too. I think they help but of course not anywhere as good as Botox. Thank you for sharing your experience with different brands.

Thank you, Zoe. Like I said - Results were GREAT! I just wish I didn't have side effects. This is month # 3 for me. Still dizzy every day. The fatigue, eye heaviness, unable to focus on one object for a long period (left eye only) has lifted a bit, but not completely gone. A send opinion told me I received "too much." How would I know when it was my first time. I had 26 units in total. I am told that's average. Good luck to you! I am very envious of people who have no side effects, LOL!!

Thanks! Must one question..is the diziness surely from the Botox ? Everyone I have spoken to here in Greece that have had it done...remarkably...have had NO side effects... Hopefully, you will feel better soon!

I can only assume dizziness it is from the paralyzed muscle fighting to move. STarted 2 days after my injections. Left side/eye area is the worst side. It is also (coincidentally the only side that had bruising the day I was injected-by a board certified practitioner). I know many people who did not have side effects. I never thought I would have these issues. Like I said, some of it has subsided. I just want to FEEL BETTER! It's such a waste of time to feel lousy from this. I look forward to the end of next month to see if I am free of the toxins all together. Thanks! keep me posted if you go through with it ;)

I hope you feel better soon! Indeed, it is a waste of time to feel lousy as you said, from Botox. Had you ever seen your board certified practitioner's " work" priot to going to him/ her? I have seen the dermatologist's patients in the WR...and I was impressed with how natural both she and her clients look. She assured me there wom't be a problem...one never knows,however... Will keep u posted...;)

Hi Zoe, I am a client of the practicing doctor. Have been for 6 years now. She herself uses Botox & filler, and her assistants. They all look like Barbie dolls!! LOL.. None had side effects like I mentioned (other than heaviness but they stated it was temporary). One had a minor headache. I didn't get a headache.. My doctor did say side effects will subside as it wears off. I am probably that small percentage of people who have annoying side effects. You will probably be FINE. Good Luck!

I sure hope so! I have wanted to get Botox since forever.. Would you get it again?

Stay away from this poison!! Do NOT do it! Read adverse effects. I lost volume in my face, forehead and face fell! Dry eyes, hives

Oh, no! Did you go to a licensed practitioner? Was it the first time?
February 7, 2015
This was my first time! Also my last time! It's been a year and a half and it's aged me 10+ years. Hives and itching, dry eyes, just to name a few.

The only positive is this is not irreversible.

I read it only effects 1% of users. Please keep me posted. Just past the 4month point and still have negative results and I too feel it aged me.

My sister in law had a bad reaction too---droopy side of face. DONT DO IT! And don't listen to your daughter either-- A crying shame she does intimidate you like that.

you look great, I'm scared of Botox so I try to take care of my skin a lot. I use a microcream that works like botox but the effect last about 8 hours (either way I love it and use it as part of my daily routine) and I also use a Serum and my skin looks and feels awesome. I have samples of the microcream. Let me know if you would like to try it :)

I would love to know more about your micro-cream!! Thanks for sharing. I just bought a serum for my face, neck & chest. I am happy with my skin, in general… I would just love to keep these number 11's at bay! LOL
