Hi, for years I had horrible stretch marks and skin hanging after 3 kids. I never was able to tone it because it was skin, not muscle. Plus, I never knew why my muscles would not become toned. I went to have a hysterectamy at age 28 due to cysts that covered all of my tubes, ovaries and so forth. I was in constant pain and sex hurt all the time. After discussion with my OB/GYN Dr. Foulk, he told me about Dr. Kumpf and how it would be cheaper to do a tummy tuck and a hysterectomy since my insurance will already cover my hospital stay and so forth. So I went and got it done. Used Care Credit, 12 months same as cash. He prepped me by showing me with a marker where he would cut and told me he would sow my muscles back together. There would be some liposuction from each side as well and tubes that would drain excess blood from my stomach. I went in and was to to stay a day or two I can't remember. Before pictures were taken.
In prep, he used a marker again and showed me where he would cut. Told me to relax and that I would be happy with it. After surgery I woke up in pain! I was cut from past hip to past hip. WHich I knew but I didn't realize how much pain I was going to be in after! However, you have to remember I am very sensitive to pain:) I went home after a couple of days. I couldn't sit or stand straight and had to bend down to walk. I was exhausted! I was off work for 4 to 6 weeks? Can't remember.
I went to work and still couldn't s stand straight up. I walked in very small steps and felt daily that there was something wrong inside. When I was given permission to have sex it was horribly painful and I just couldn't. I kept telling both doctors something was wrong. They couldn't seem to see or understand that I wasn't kidding. 2 or 3 months later I just get worse weekly. It got so bad I couldn't walk and my mother drove me to the emergency room. I was checked and was immediately hospitalized. By the way, I never got my after pics. I can't remember really what went on as I was in and out of it, uncouscious from pain meds or pain I can't remember. I vaguley remember being told I had an infection inside. I had to have surgery. I went to surgery the next day. After, I was told it was an infection between my vaginal wall and anas about 3 inches long. Again, I was out of it. I was in the hospital around 6 days. I was sent home and off work again for a few weeks again. I never saw a bill from that. I can't say I am completely unhappy as I am happy about my stomach. I do need to get a scar revision as part of the scar on one side is higher and below the skin on that side it looks like my skin sunk in. Kind of weird. I did go back to Dr. Kumpf whom said he could fix the scar for around $500. I may or may not do it.
*I am unsure the date of my procedure.
Dr. Kumpf

My doctor is ok. I like his candor and his wit. He tries to give me all the information he thinks I need. He talks me through what the procedure will be like. He does not explain before surgery that you may need other things done to fix anything like an uneven scar.
