Like many of the other women on here, I’m a woman who has wanted breasts since high school. Even though I knew my mom had a small chest, I was hoping that my dad’s side would provide me with some more “oomph.” Unfortunately, it did not. Puberty had come and gone and I still had itty bitties. I’ve always wanted a chest that would balance out my shape, but was terrified of surgery. What if something went wrong? What if I hated it? I’ve basically been “sleeping on it” for the past 10 years or so. My 29th birthday was coming up soon and I finally decided to take the plunge. I had enough of the padded bras. I loathed having to constantly yank and rearrange the darn things because I don't have enough breast to hold them up. Lol. In addition, I’ve come to love fitness and weightlifting in the last 2 years. Building muscle and getting leaner hadn't helped with my breast tissue. I tried working my pecs and although the muscles helped a tad with the appearance, it still didn’t give me the look I wanted. My bras were looser. >__< I wanted to balance out my figure. I did done tons of research and due to my low amount of breast tissue, I thought silicone with submuscular placement seem like the best option for me. The adjectives of natural, large, small, etc. mean different things to different people, so I went into my consultations with multiple photos of the look I was going for. This is very important if you want to get what you want. Gotta start that "wish boobs" folder. Lol.

I didn't document my whole procedure and recovery because I was honestly in too much pain to think about it and then when I did feel better, the laziness had set in. Hahah. Finally getting around to writing this review to share my awesome experience and results, courtesy of Dr. Macias.

I had consulted with a couple other doctors and was on the fence, so I met with Dr. Macias. He didn't have as many reviews as the other doctors, but the ones he did have all praised him. I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. He's fantastic! I came in armed with a list of questions and my laptop full of my "wish" photos. He was able to address all my concerns and was very informative about what to expect and what was realistic for my body and frame. Dr. Macias was extremely personable and it didn't hurt that he was also easy on the eyes. Lol. Not only was he great, so was everyone in his office (front desk, patient coordinator, nurses). Go to him, you won't regret it.

I started off with a 34A and decided I wanted to be in the D range. Ended up getting 525cc of silicone despite his suggestions for a smaller size. Dr. Macias said I twisted his arm into the larger size. Hahaha. I'm glad I did because I loooooove them (well after all the pain subsided). Lol. Last time I tried buying a bra, I was a DDD/F. The only down side to my new "twins" is that it's harder to find bras now.

Glad you got the larger size implant and that you're happy with your results. You certainly waited a while for your new look. ;) You look great in all your pictures. Thank you for sharing your story with us on RealSelf!

Thanks, Beth! Yes, I did wait a long time. I kept trying to love the body I had, but I kept wishing for those bigger "melons." Hahah. Honestly, think I may have a lil boob greed. I feel like I could've gone bigger. Lol!

I think you look great with this size. Sometimes when you go bigger you can end up looking a bit more heavy than you really are. You're perfectly proportionate now in your full body picture!

Yours look perfect! These are the results I'd like. Just worried about going too big. Have you ever had regrets? I'm wondering about the reaction from others in my professional career and being taken seriously.

Thank you! Umm actually, I'm so used to them now, I feel like I could've gone bigger. Boob greed? Hahaha. They're a bit bigger than when I was wearing a padded bra. Can you believe my family still has no clue? It's been a lil over a year. My one cousin DID say over Christmas that I might be growing boobs after she hugged me. Hahaha. Honestly, you can dress them up or down provided you don't go too large. It all depends on the clothing. Make sure to cover those puppies up so they don't distract others while at work. :)

Also, it'll be helpful to try some sizers so you can get a feel for it. I really recommend going to a doctor with the Vectra 3D imaging, so you can get a good visual.

My boobs have dropped more. Didn't even realize after looking at the photos I posted here. They're still pretty perky. I still love them. One of my nipples is higher than the other, but that's because they were like that before I got the implants. Macias made sure to inform me of that. I didn't want to mess with the placement or anything, so I opted to leave them alone. The asymmetry really isn't very noticeable in person. Appears more so in photos. Remember, they're sisters, not twins. Lol.
