I'm a 5'9" 165lbs plus size model with no hips or butt. I found Dr. Macias from Yelp reviews. I was very pleased with my initial consult with him and his staff and decided right then to do it. I had to reschedule once because I had a trip scheduled too close to the surgery and I wouldn't be able to sit.

I'm in pretty good shape so there wasn't too much fat to transfer. It was fun to eat alot the couple of weeks before the surgery so he would have some fat to remove. He did lipo on flanks, arms, thighs and under butt cheeks.

It's mandatory to stay over night in a recovery center. I'm really glad I did because I was really out of it. My mother was my caretaker and she would have had a hard time with me that first night. An ambulance took me over to Serenity after surgery and a staff member took me to my follow up appointment the next morning. All I remember once I got to Serenity was that I was sooooo cold. I was also in a lot of pain. At Serenity, they were able to help me get warm and give me a pain killer shot so I could sleep. The staff at Serenity was great!

After my follow up, I went home. My mother brought her two door car and that was a nightmare. Bring a four-door so it is easier to get in the back seat. I ended up kneeling on the front seat and leaned over into the back. It was a miserable 30 minute drive home.

As most have said, keep up with the pain meds around the clock. After a couple of days I was feeling better and slept through the night. What a mistake! It was a nightmare in the morning because I had no meds in my system.

I had to pee standing up into a container which I then emptied into the toilet. My compression garment had the butt cutout as well as the crotch. I bought a toilet seat cushion for when I was able to sit on the toilet to poop. After about a week, I could shower and dress by myself. Bending over was tough because my back skin was very tight.

I'm a model and you never know when the big audition is going to come around. Even though I asked to have a week off, I got called for 6 auditions the first week. I had my surgery on Saturday and went to two castings on Monday. I would not recommend moving around so soon, but you got to do what you got to do. We put pillows in the back seat and when I got to the audition I took off my waist cinch and the padding in my back and went in and did what I had to do. It was actually funny because since I was swollen, I had lots of hips. During my second week I had one photo shoot where they wanted me to sit to do makeup. I told them I had just had a bad accident and couldn't sit long. They were very accommodating.

Three days after surgery I went in to get sutures removed. That hurt! I had one under each breast, under butt cheeks, pelvic area and a hole in the middle of my back.

I am now three weeks post and extremely happy with the results. Bruising was almost gone by two weeks. I had an audition for swimwear and I got so many compliments from the interviewers. They loved my body!! My butt isn't as big as I would like it to be but my mom says it looks natural.

Meds and pre-op:
I started taking Arnica tablets (under tongue) a few days before the surgery. I also took laxatives. I was on a liquid diet for two days before and nothing after 12 the night before. The staff stressed the importance of having a bowel movement by the second day so I had to use suppositories. We also used a lot of Traumeel cream. Tami said slather it on, it will help to get the garments on easier. When we couldn't find anymore at the store, I ordered T-Relief Cream through Amazon. Had about the same ingredients. I was taking Oxy around the clock and when I ran out I used some Tylenol #3 that I had at home. After two weeks I tapered down on the pain meds but kept taking the Arnica, use the cream and take stool softeners.
