6-Tooth Bridge Has Chipped 3 Times - Marietta, GA
ORIGINAL POST

I had a 3-tooth bridge, but had to have it replaced when I lost one of my anchor teeth. The dentist recommended a 6-tooth Zirconium Bridge. One of the teeth chipped 5 days after getting it, and another chipped before I could get the first bridge replaced. Today, the doctor painfully cut off the bridge and replaced it. I had not left their office when one of the front teeth sheared off. Do you think this is a lab problem, or are 6-tooth bridges difficult because they move as one unit.

from my understanding if you have zirconia bridge, they shouldn't have chipped because the material is very strong.

The lab said they had a "bad batch" of zirconia. Is there such a thing? I think the lab may have mixed it wrong. My dentist is trying a different lab, but I still don't have satisfactory teeth yet.

I totally agree. A "bad batch" of zirconia is a the lab's fault therefore, the dentist should fix your issue and then go after the lab company. I have had my bridge work for 15 years and it's still solid. Hope you get your teeth fixed soon. Good luck.
