Going to the DR for TT Revision and lipo

$8,501
Hello Dolls,
It's been a while since I have posted and if I could change it, I would. Here's my update.....
I went back to my doctor and he tried to drain the bulge - he couldn't - noting came out of the needle. HE said it would need to be lipoed out at an additional $5,500. He does not include revisions in his pricing. I WAS DEVASTATED. I bought the $80 scar cream to lighten the dark crooked scar - and it never went away. The bulging area is above my belly button and is numb - like I have no outside feeling there and sometimes I get a horrible itching sensation that I can't scratch due to whatever is padding between my outside skin and the nerves by my actual stomach muscles.
My scar is still dark and crooked. My c-section scar - both of them were tinier and lighter than this, so I know my skin can heal better then what it did for this surgery. I have been like this for a few years - but I plan to get it all corrected this August with Dr. Mallol in the Dominican Republic.

His work is awesome. I'm bringing my husband with me so he can help me get through the healing, and we will stay there of 2 weeks before getting back on a plane. I'm nervous about going under the knife again, but I've had my physical, I will be proactive prior to surgery and take all me meds, and I will give it up to God to get me through this final journey.
I wish I could start a new blog fresh with a new doctor, but it would require deleting this one. For now, I will post here.
Thanks,

I went to meet with Dr. Okoro but ended up talking to another doctor, Dr. Celestine who would perform the surgery. When I researched her she does not have the experience that that Dr. O has but she felt and seemed very competent. I'm not sure if I want to do surgery with a doctor who doesn't have a heavy portfolio like the ones I've been reading about. Yet I'm learning many of these other doctors have too heavy a schedule and seem like surgery mills.. I don't want that either. The popular doctors are so booked up they don't fit my timeframe. Dr. C had the time, the facility, and the right price... But I'm still on the fence. I chose to do my surgery with Dr. Fara Movagharnia in Marietta. His package doesn't include the hair removal or message treatments like Dr. Celestine, but he is board certified, chief of surgery at his hospital, and is extremely one on one hands on personable. For me I want a doctor who is outgoing and will speak up on things I'm not sure about and I really feel like he gives solid experienced advice to help me in my surgery journey. I wish he had the more modern cameras, follow up care and in house equipment like sonogram machines which would keep patients from incurring high hospital costs, but nothing is perfect. His experience is what you pay for which is important. Let me be clear- I had my surgery done by Dr. FARA. His follow up is a little challenging since he can only see you on Tuesdays and Thursdays but try to never miss an appointment. I wish I asked more about his revision policy because I'm hearing a lot of doctors will do small work in their office and waive the fees if they know they could have done a little more and can correct small areas.. make sure you ask any doctor their revision policy details. Overall he is a great surgeon. I just wish I had the flat tummy I hoped for without a need to look into additional work to be done.

swell hell in one small area may be fluid..oh no!

Well my flat and fabulous has developed recently.... Swell hell feels more like a pocket of fluid. Now I have to go d time to get to the doctor to see if this mushiness is a pick of fluid or just a possible need to wrap tighter in this area.. dang!!

Thanks Mami, hang in there chica! Eat light and healthy, keep it VERY low sodium to prevent swelling, get lots of rest, walk it out as much as you can, take your vitamins, and water water water!!!! Your body will respond if you are consistent. Keep me posted!
I just had surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago with the same doctor . Did your swelling go away ? And how are your scars ? Is the scar line still crooked ? Did you have swelling on your hips and thighs? Thanks .
Also what revision work do you need done? Is your stomach not flat? Sorry for all questions but I have the same concern. Thanks .
