$10,000
I had lipo revision from Dr. Stanley Okoro in Atlanta GA in April. I had expectations that it would be a successful surgery from the amount of lipo revisions he had stated he performed. Unfortunately, I spent $10,000 & saw no improvement. I had 5 hours of anesthesia with only thermitight on my lower abdomen & lower flanks & upper back. He also did some blending which was supposed to improve the irregularities & indentions. He suggested exilis & I purchased that package as well. I had no idea that thermitight did not need to be done under anesthesia & I had paid a very hefty price for OR time etc. On my 3 month post op, Dr. Okoro was able to clearly see there was no change & he suggested thermismooth body as the next step. I had already paid $4,000 more than I was quoted for revision lipo from other plastic surgeons in the Atlanta area & now Dr. Okoro wanted to charge me more for extra thermi treatments! I found it difficult to consider when almost no improvement was seen. I've reached out to GA Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the past with the follow up surveys but no one has ever contacted me regarding my concerns. The follow up with office staff regarding quotes etc. is very poor & it takes several attempts before anyone answers your questions. I am very disappointed in Dr. Okoro's commitment to patient satisfaction & I'm sorry to say, i would never recommend GA Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery to anyone.

try the fascia blaster by ashley black, you should be able to smooth that out yourself with this tool, will save you thousands on revision

Im using that fascia blaster too and when i saw these pictures I thought the blaster would work a lot of that out.

Please call Dr thomas litner in Marietta Ga! He's amazing, he's very concerned about his patients he takes pride in his work gives you his personal cell phone number and will tell you to call him even if the smallest things come up. His nurses are very understanding caring people. I would hundred percent recommend him to anybody..

This is a defamatory, false and fabricated representation of this person's situation who, as this person stated in their review, previously underwent liposuction by a cosmetic surgeon. It is unfortunate and hurtful when the surgeon who is trying to help correct the damage done by the previous surgeon receives misdirected resentment often intended for the original surgeon. The photos posted are not an accurate representation of this patient’s results and truly highlight the extent of damage a non-qualified, but often more economical, non-plastic “surgeon” can cause. Because we perform so many revision liposculpture procedures on “botched” patients, we regularly and thoroughly explain the need for realistic expectations and patience. Revisional surgeries, especially when attempting to correct extreme defects are incredibly difficult, technically demanding and require trust between the surgeon and the patient to work together in the best interest of the patient. As we explain to all of our patients, correcting these often permanently disfiguring surgical results can require multiple stages, a myriad of different technologies and post-operative therapies to work synergistically to better the patient’s outcome. Unfortunately, when we inherit patients who have undergone disfiguring surgery, we adopt all of their issues, resentment, expectations, and emotional trauma that they have acquired from their previous surgical experience. We believe, and have demonstrated for years that by being honest and approachable during our interactions with patients, they openly share their concerns so that we can take action and provide them with a solution. However, very rarely, patients are not forthcoming during our discussions together and act friendly and agreeable to a plan of care and then turn to other outlets in order to divulge their derogatory and false statements. These impulsive acts are filled with misinformation and are neither helpful to the patient’s care nor constructive for the provider; and are often coercive attempts by impractical patients to accomplish their own agendas. Luckily, the vast majority of all of our patients are elated with the care we provide them. In regards to our revisional patients, we echo their sentiments of frustration and spend hundreds of additional hours treating, discussing, reassuring, and providing excellent care to them. We are committed to our patients and will always have an open door to any person who genuinely desires to work together to resolve their concerns.

Your attempts to malign this patient only make you look worse. Everyone knows that this is a REVISION lipo review! No one can predict how a body will respond and we all understand that. But to charge that much and do no fat grafting?!! Double shame
August 21, 2016
$10k is a lot of money and for those results?????? You should be ashamed Stanley Okoro of yourself!!!! Take pride in your work. If you can't fix it, the right thing to do would be to refund her money.

Why not take the high road and try to help this patient gratis instead of charging more for additional treatment?

I would be beyond devastated with results like this revision or not.

You mention that these are not accurate photos of the results. Do you have an accurate one? If you offer to post it and the OP refuses, it might help to clear your name. As it stands, these photos make it look like she needed a lift, rather than ThermiTight. I understand that the patient may have reused a lift - but the photos posted here as 'after' do look even worse than the 'before'.

You should've included a tummy tuck in that price. Highway robbery and taking advantage of an already vulnerable, and wounded woman in my opinion. You didn't do right by her in this situation. Not to mention, you can now see the gristle in her spine. There's a threshold when *too much* fat is removed, and I think you crossed that line there.

I will also note that Thermitight's claim to tighten skin had no effect on my skin. Dr. Okoro is a clinical teacher for thermitight & my procedure was done under anesthesia with plenty of time, preparation & an ability to do it at the maximum strength. It still made no difference.

I am so sorry . I know how you feel!
Seems like a you maybe needed a Tummy tuck instead revision, what is shown in pictures... Such a shame those Dr's take the money (lot of money) and do terrible work and mistakes and make bad decisions!
I am very sorry. Even he is getting back to you I am not sure if you want him to work on you again...

That is horrible! I am so sorry that this happened to you. If you still want a revision look into Doctor Kat Begovic. She's in CA but her revision work is great. You can watch her videos on snapchat, YouTube, and her staff gets back to you within a few hours.

Thank you all for your feedback. I wish you knew how much I value your comments & suggestions & I will give each of them much thought going forward.
I did want to provide an update to say that Dr. Okoro called after I wrote my review. I stand corrected on the Thermismooth device. Dr. Okoro said he did not own the new machine & GA Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery was being charged on their usage. Dr. Okoro did say he would speak to Thermismooth on my behalf to see if I can qualify as a "model" for before & after photos. The pictures I posted on realself are from Mytouchmd.com, taken at GA Plastics so Thermismooth would have pictures from the beginning of all of my Thermi procedures. This would help alleviate costs of some future investments on my revision so I am hopeful they'll work with me. Dr. Okoro discussed fat grafting before my revision surgery & he explained if I needed further improvement, he would consider this in several months. I do need to say that Dr. Okoro & his PA, Jenny did return an initial phone call pre-surgery when I inquired about including blending to the surgery to break up scar tissue. I was really hoping breaking up the scar tissue would have helped my irregularities. The other 2 Plastic Surgeons I had consultations with before choosing Dr. Okoro had seemed very focused on this aspect. Dr. Okoro did do the blending & clarified that thermitight was difficult to do on revisions due to the scar tissue & this is the reason he wanted to do it under anesthesia. He said I could still see improvements with thermitight up to a year although they also state most results are seen in about 3 months.
I wanted to provide this corrected information & to say my conversation with Dr. Okoro was informative.
I will show updates of the path I choose & hopefully the investment & time I've spent trying to correct this liposuction will finally bring a successful conclusion.

Why would they want to use you as a model if you've had no improvement? Would it be just for their personal use to study the no improvement? I doubt they would want to show the before and afters. I guess I'm not understanding. I hope you find a solution. Although many of us don't go into this expecting complete perfection, I think anyone would be justifiably upset with that outcome. I'm sending positive vibes your way (hugs).
August 31, 2016
If Thermi agrees, it would help me offset the costs of future skin tightening treatments that I will continue to need. I would hope they would see a difference if I had Thermismooth in conjunction with Thermitight. I have never had any expectation of perfection but I do hope to have some noticeable improvement with the investment I've made & will continue to make. Thank you so much for your message & positive vibes!
August 31, 2016
Ahhhh, I see. You're talking about two different procedures. I saw the 'therm' at the beginning of the word and thought you were talking about the same thing. Okay, now I see. I hope they agree to help reduce your costs. That's a lot of money to see no improvement. I hope time will also help with your results.

How do you know she was messed up? She didn't say her age and did not post a "before" pic. I am wondering what the skin looked like before and how old she is.
September 4, 2016
Her before pics are up. He didn't mess her up. She already had the lumps from a previous surgery. He just didn't improve it at all. I see it happen a lot on reviews where the person is already super him or the doctor is too aggressive. Sometimes I think 'what is my doc had sucked out just one more ounce of fat. I'd be completely flat'. But then I think about the reviews I've seen with lumps and burns and think 'nah, my stomach is completely smooth with no burns, so I'm good'. Lol. I'm so sorry this has happened to her and although the doctor didn't technically mess her up, he should at least refund her some if not all of her money. No one pays $10,000 and goes into surgery expecting to see absolutely no results. I'm sure he had to have told her she'd see at least a little improvement.

I wish you the best...my lipo was disastrous as well and I have been trying to figure out what to do to correct mine for 5 years. I am anxious to see your results!

Why are you keep trying to make your skin tight? I believe you are esting time and money . You jefe s lift ( recession of the skin) from the front and back . Nothing else will work when the skin is that saggy .
Look at dr Peter Fisher from San Antonio . He is fabulous doctor and human being . He is an expert in lifts
