My breasts feel like part of my body now. They are not foreign at all. I am very pleased with the size and shape. I started back to crossfit yesterday, after 6 weeks off. My metabolic conditioning and strength definitely took a hit, but I should be back up to speed in a month or so. My next visit with Dr. McNeel is in December, so I will update then. I have not yet gone for a bra sizing, and I will update my profile then, as well. My incisions look fantastic. They are tiny thin lines that are healing well. Maybe my next update will coincide with my scar tape changing. Six weeks out and completely pleased with my results. :)

They look perfect!
Thank you!
Hi! Your new girls look AWESOME!!!! I have BA surgery scheduled for Dec 29th and the shaped implants have been recommended for me based on my frame, current breast tissue and desired outcome. I was all for it but I'm beginning to have second thoughts about the shaped implants. My concern is, how do they look when not in an upright position. Do they look as natural if you're laying on your side or if you're in a bent over position?
They don't look completely natural in those positions, as natural breasts flatten and fall to the side when laying on ones back, and smoosh together while side laying. They look fairly natural when leaning forward. No implant is going to look completely natural, but the round ones seem to look less so. Have your PS go over some of the differences between round vs shaped implants with you. Placing the implant sub-muscular also changes how it changes with position changes. That said, I did a fair amount of research and would not have mine any other way. Good luck with your research!
I'm definitely going sub-muscular. So how does that impact how they move in different positions? I just don't want to have mannequin breasts that don't move but at the same time, it helps knowing what to expect.
I think the amount of movement depends on how much natural breast tissue you start with, the implant size, and how developed your chest muscles are. Initially, the submuscular implants don't move at all, due to the tightness of the freshly stretched tissues. How tightly those muscles are stretched depends on the size of the implant and how developed those muscles are. I started with very little breast tissue and highly developed chest muscles. My breasts did not move at all during the first few weeks post op. Now, at 6 weeks post op, my breasts do move, but no where near as much as a natural breast. On the flip side, a natural breast at this size would not stand up on its own and not require the support of a bra, like mine. This website was very valuable in helping prepare my expectations. The first post op week was rough, and my breasts were high, swollen, bruised, and ugly. Thankfully, I knew that would resolve. Keep researching. It will give you peace of mind!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Being able ask questions to someone who has what I'm looking to get is so very helpful and comforting!! I too have developed pecs (maybe not quite as developed as yours) so this insight is exactly what I needed!!! Again, it's really helpful and comforting knowing what to expect. I hope you don't mind if I continue to reach out to you periodically.
I am more than happy to share my experience with you. It really does help so much! I have several friends that had BAs with Dr. McNeel before me--one just 2 weeks ahead of me. They were such great resources for me, it's nice to be able to do that for someone else. I'll try to get pictures up of side and back laying, as well as leaning forward for you. I'll need a little help with those. :)
I am so happy I found your story! I'm also a crossfit athlete, paleo-eater, and by the looks of your before picture; the same size. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th of this month and I'm very excited. I am also planning on getting the same exact implant as you. It's so wonderful to see a visual of what mine are very likely to look like since I haven't found many using the same cc'd in the shaped implants. Not working out is going to be the hardest part for me, for sure. You look fabulous!
Thank you! I posted my story here because i also had a difficult time finding similar body styles getting modest implants. Not working out was rough. I went to my box a few times just to visit friends and hear the sounds of my gym. Good luck with your surgery!
could you post some pics with clothes to see how they fit?
Wow, your breasts are perfect! Things are still going well I assume?
Yes! Everything is great. I love my new shape. My breasts are proportional and look totally natural. I'm at work now so can't post a picture. I'll have to find some. :)

You look great! I hope mine drop down soon! I'm 2 weeks post op and they look exactly the same as the day I got them done I feel like!
Thank you! I looked at your profile, too. I had super sensitive nipples for about 3 weeks. I hope you start your drop and fluff. You look awesome!

I feel completely normal, other than not sleeping on my stomach. I saw Dr. McNeel and was cleared to play tennis, but not yet for Crossfit. I am just glad to be moving around! I went to my team tennis practice this evening and wore a nice, tight sports bra. I was not bothered in the least by my breasts. Yay! The incisions are healing well. I didn't get a picture of them because he changed my scar tape at the visit. It will be several days before I change it again. The sutures under the skin that dissolve are still palpable, but certainly softer than before. Everything is healing well. The implants are getting softer, and Dr. McNeel said they will continue to improve. I am super pleased with my progress.
