2 weeks out from surgery and just had my pre-op appt yesterday. I'm so excited! Everyone at Marietta Plastic Surgery is awesome. I was nervous at my consult back in April, but I've had a lot of time to process the fact that this is really happening and it's happening soon. In the last month I've decided I want to go a bit bigger than I originally thought, probably 400-450 cc. Ibn going to let the doc decide during surgery what will look best, but I definitely trust him-- he came highly recommended, as did all the docs at this facility.
I'll be getting cohesive gel silicone, high profile, submuscular. I'm athletic and small and have been lifting a lot lately. I'm nervous that my pecs are going to be really tight, so I'm going to try to minimize any chest exercises until surgery. Definitely not excited about missing the gym during recovery.
I think I am most nervous about the pain right after surgery and not being able to use my arms. But my bf has already promised to take good care of me, so it'll all be okay.

I am (well, WAS) a heavy, heavy lifter (bench 140lbs for reps, overhead press 75lbs for reps, row 140lbs for reps) and I can definitely tell you that having built-up/"beefy" pecs has been kind of painful for me, post-surgery! I think it also causes the implants to drop a little slower. I would definitely lay off any upper body lifting (unless your doing, say, curls or lat pull downs or something) for quite a while before surgery!

Thank you for the advice, I was wondering about that for sure. I'm avoiding chest workouts until surgery, but unfortunately I think the "damage" is done. Did you get prescribed muscle relaxers? I'm hoping that will at least help with after surgery recovery...

I hope it goes well for you , Just please remember the larger implants you get the more back pain you can potentially have . That will for sure be something you need to talk to your doctor about because you have a tiny frame. OTHER THEN THAT! stay positive and embrace your future self.

Thank you for the advice! Once I'm back at the gym I'll definitely plan to build up my back muscles... And, oh darn, just another excuse to get a massage regularly! ;D

Sharing my photos from the consult. This is what they gave me as a rendering for what 400cc would look like on me. Note my arms are outstretched in the rendering, so it pulls my chest open.

Last Beach Trip Before Surgery!
freistyMay 24, 2015
I'm at the beach with my family in Florida this weekend, and it's so fun to think next time I'm at a beach I'll have my new chest! I've been looking around at other girls and bathing suits to get ideas for how I want to look and what will look good on my pair. I've never spent a ton of time looking at other women, and it's funny I've never noticed how small my chest is compared to most others. It's nice because I know I'm really doing this for me and what I think will look balanced and fun on my body, not because I want to look like anyone else. But it's cool because it's sort of like flipping through a catalog.
My bathing suits never really fit me right, so I'm looking forward to remedying that. Less than two weeks, I cannot wait.
