Age Taking Its Toll, Recent Weight Loss, Losing Original Beauty - New York, NY

The first point I want to make ( I research everything !!!... Dr. in Mathematics) is that your selection of a Doctor in cosmetic/plastic surgery will be the most important decision you make for your desired procedure and I highly recommend Dr. Sam Rizk,1040 Park Ave.,New York, NY. I spent several months reading and interviewing highly credentialed doctors before choosing Dr. Rizk. His credentials are so impressive; Double Board Certified, well published,held in high esteem by his colleagues, recipient of prestigious awards, tv personality, and on and on...check his website. Then came the initial conference and really that is what did it. I really felt Dr Rizk's heart was in his work. Of course, I came with a scroll of questions and each he thoughtfully answered. I never felt rushed or that I was taking way too much of his time. He actually kept saying any other questions and he really meant it. Once my concerns were addressed he suggested some procedures that he felt would help to refresh ...beautify...and bring back a more youthful appearance to me. Dr Rizk's philosophy is not to make you look like a different person but to restore and embellish your original beauty....a natural look. Again, for me, that was very important. Dr Rizk only works on the face/neck so his experience and expertise is definitely there.
I had jowls, sun damaged skin with some deep lines in cheek area, drapey skin on upper eyes, loose skin on my neck...due to age and weight loss. Oh! and my lips were thin and small due to some previous dental work in my 30's. ....I have always been self conscious of my lips and would wear lipstick beyond the true lip line in my attempt to augment my lips. Dr Rizk was the only surgeon who was observant enough to notice this and suggest I consider a lip lift as well. Not one other surgeon noticed this. Dr Rizk's final recommendation for me: full face/neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, laser resurfacing and lip lift.
Also, if I were to follow through with him (no pressure at all) that I start eating more protein every day beginning now (I am thin and a vegetarian) suggesting quinoa, tempeh, tofu etc. .....this further endeared me to him because I felt he really cared about me and he took his work so seriously. By the way he is also an artist/sculptor which obviously is a plus.
My operation took place on 2/25/2016. Today is 3/7/2016; eleven days post and I feel great. I won't go into his technique its too technical and you can read about everything on his very informative site but I did just what he recommended and put my full trust in his skilled hands. I am so thankful that I chose this doctor.....I am so happy with the results.....I feel reborn. I will eventually post some before and after pictures once I learn more about how Real Self operates because I am a private person. But if there is a way I can send pictures privately upon request I will gladly do that.
One more thing....I am not rich by any means...single and educator as a background but when it comes to the face, and surgery you want the most qualified surgeon, most qualified staff and an office/operating suite with the most high tech/ state of the art equipment. This oftentimes means paying abit more. Also the staff in the office are so knowledgeable, lovely, and thoughtful. Best Wishes for your future plans......
