I haven't slept well in years because of an...
I haven't slept well in years because of an accident I had as a child. I had a septoplasty when I was younger; however, it was not as successful as I would have hoped as that surgery was performed by a surgeon who did not specialize in ENT. As a result, I have had chronic sleep issues.
Now in 2015, I needed to a have a revision of the 10 year old septoplasty. Dr. Liotta (and Dr. Liberatore) were fabulous. I saw four other doctors prior to deciding to see them. One of the surgeons I saw prior to them suggested that I seek more opinions as he felt my case was too complex a reconstruction (especially since my first surgeon had retired and I had no past surgical records) and I didn't have too much septum to work with. Several other doctors wanted to charge hundreds of dollars just for the consult. But Dr. Liotta and Dr. Liberatore didn't charge me at all.
Dr. Liotta and Liberatore made me feel comfortable the second I called the office. The staff at the front desk is beyond friendly and helpful. The doctors were confident and honest about what I should expect and the end result has exceeded my expectations by far (although I am only 4 months post op so who knows how much better it might get). When I asked if they could make my nose thinner while they were at it, Dr. Liotta was honest and told me that it wasn't a good idea. Since the doctors decided it would be in my best interest if they worked together for the surgery, it made picking a date a little more complicated; however, they were incredibly flexible and made the dates work with my time off from work. They made sure I was extremely well prepared with a thick printed pack of what to expect and a bag of items I would need before and after surgery. In addition, Dr.Liotta gave me her email address so that I could reach her if I had any questions. I took advantage of this and sent many emails. My questions are always always always answered in less than a day (I actually get responses quicker than if I call my other doctors offices and leave messages). On top of all of that, both doctors are extremely friendly! Best part of all of this.....now that I can breathe, I can sleep for 7 straight hours! I have already recommended Dr. Liberatore and Dr. Liotta to friends and family and will continue to do so.
