I did a facelift one and a half year ago with a surgeon in the city. Although he removed most of my wrinkles and my saggy skin I didn't like the result. I looked pulled or with wind tunnel look. I really was not happy with my result. I asked my surgeon to address the issue and he told me to wait, that with time things were gong to get better. I waited a year and nothing improved, Everything looked the same.
I decided to get my face fix. I started to look for a well qualified surgeon to get a revision facelift. I interviewed with several surgeons in the city and nj and I didn't really felt comfortable with any one of them. Then a friend of mine that got a tummy tuck with Dr. Mesa recommended him to me. I asked, but isn't he a tummy tuck plastic surgeon? She told me, yes he his, but he is also specialized in facile lifts. He did a fellowship in facelifts and he is really good. I have seen his patients while in the reception area and they looked food to me, I deeded to give him a chance.
I went for consultation since the minute I met him my gut feeling told me "he is the one". He was very warm and receptive. He listened to all my questions and concerns. Dr. Mesa explained in detail what needed to be done, that the scars were going to be a little bit different and the shocking part, that I was candidate to do the facelift under local anesthesia! It told him I have never hear about that. He explained the surgery under local anesthesia and showed me testimonial videos. He also offered me to speak with some of his former patients that have undergone facelift revision with him to know about their experience and to chef if they were satisfied with their results. The consultation was about 1 hour and I had no further questions at the end.
I did called two of his former facelift revision patients. They both told me the same: Dr. Mesa is the best and that that they are extremely happy with their revision facelift. They say that now they look naturally refreshed, not pulled.
I decided to book with Dr. Mesa and did my facelift under local anesthesia with him about 4 months ago! Surgery went very well and I did not feel any pain during surgery. Before entering the operating room I was a little bit nervous, but Dr, Mesa was very kind and ensured me I was not going to feel any pain. I deed I had no pain during surgery. I was taking to him during the surgery about different things to the point I forgot I was getting facelift surgery done. At the end of the procedure, I just got my bandage put on, I dressed up and I went home.
Recovery was smiler to my first facelift. Nothing different to what I already experience.
Once most of the swelling and minor bruisings resolved I noticed the results. I did look like a younger version of me, not a pulled version one. All my friends that knew I got a facelift before asked me "who fixed your face lift", "you look amazing" , "you look like the younger version of you", I love my facelift revision results with Dr. Mesa.
