Day 2

So after writing my review my pain went up to about a 5. Mainly because I was laying down so much and I was stiff, sore, and my face was swollen from laying on my stomach. The more I move around, the better I feel. Dr K called again yesterday to see how I was doing.
Not sure if its the arnica at work but the bruising went almost completely away. My followup appointment is tomorrow afternoon.

Let me start off by saying it's the next day and I...

Let me start off by saying it's the next day and I am in relatively little pain. I feel like that is what most people are worried about.
My plan was to have a consultation with a few doctors before settling on one but I knew after meeting with Dr Khuthaila that I wanted her to work on me. I initially I only wanted lipo on my thighs and back and was going back and forth on a fat transfer to my butt. I kept thinking I could always come back and have it later on. Dr K listened to what I wanted and gave me her honest opinion of expectations. Might as well do it now if I knew I wanted it at some point because A. I'd have less fat to harvest for later and B. why come back and pay again for something I know I wanted now. I didn't feel any pressure from her at all and decided on the fat transfer. Picked the first available date for surgery, about a month later and left the office.
Valentina followed up with me about downpayment via text and answered all my questions I had from the first day up until the day of surgery.
I came in for my pre op opponent June 26th and I felt I might as well have my stomach done too. Dr K agreed and I actually expected it to be a lot more when given a new price quote. I was also given some Sinecch (arnica) to take. Not sure if it's helping but it's not hurting.
Surgery was initially scheduled for July 6th but we moved it to the 7th, no biggie. It gave me an extra day to recover from the 4th of July. I didn't go overboard but I did drink a little.
Took a klonopin the night before but really wasn't that nervous. I've had 2 breast augmentations and I guess the thought of slicing my muscle was less nerve wracking than just a few holes in my skin. Morning of surgery was a torrential downpour. I show up soaked. I'm only mentioning this because they nurse went out of her way for me later on in the story.
I was immediately taken back to my little room, changed, vitals taken, marked and Dr K went over everything with one last time, talked to the anesthesiologist (who was also great btw) and ushered into the operating room.
Next thing I know, I am awake. I had a weird dream but don't remember it. Weird because I have been out before 3 other times and I did not have any dreams and I woke up feeling GREAT. This time I woke up feeling horrible. My teeth were chattering and my body was shaking. But I am an anxious person so I feel like I was letting my nerves get the best of me. The nurse (will get her name) sat down next to me, held my hand, made me tea, and talked to me until I felt like I was ready to get up. She probably spent a good hour babying me. Dr K came over and talked with me for a bit to also help calm me down and give me post op instructions one more time.
Because my clothes were soaked I asked my ride to bring a change of clothes and he had forgotten the bag at home. The nurse found me a pair of scrubs to wear home and actually let me wear her shoes out to the car. The whole team was amazing. I had never felt so taken care of before in my life by anyone other than my mother. There really was no pain, I was just woozy af. Like I said, previous times I woke up feeling great, once even got out of bed and started dressing myself ready to go home.Got home to Brooklyn after an hour in NYC rush hour Friday traffic, was in a little pain towards the end of the ride, very minimal. Ate a little something, took a pain pill and pretty much have been passed out since. I was leaking a bit so we didn't put my garment on and Dr K said I could put it on the following day or the next if I was too swollen but I stopped leaking and ended up getting it on that evening.
Most painful part was where the fat was injected at first but that's gone and now it's just sore abs and inner thighs. Last night before bed I felt no pain. Only took a half a pain pill at a time but woke up feeling sore. Took another half and feel ok. Pain is about a 3/10? It's not even real pain. The most uncomfortable thing at this point is where the breathing tube was. My throat is the most sore.
So far so good.

At this point, I can only review Dr. Khuthaila's manner and not her surgical work but I will be sure to follow up with the results review. The moment Dr K introduced herself, I got a relaxed, reassuring vibe. She was very attentive, answered all my silly questions and gave me as much time as I needed to feel like we were making the right decisions based on my body and what I wanted. Dr K put me at ease and I am a very anxious person. Valentina, who works the front was also great. She was available to answer any questions I had via text (which I preferred) and I had quite a few even up until the very morning of surgery. I was also surprised (in a very good way) to see an all female team working on me. I felt like I was in very competent caring hands. When I woke up, Dr K was there to talk to me and personally called me that evening to follow up on how I was doing.
