WORTH IT
Please Welcome Dr. Brett Kotlus to New York City! Dr. Kotlus is unequivocally, a brilliant, artistic surgeon! *Scarless Lower Blepharoplasty Patient 2/18/15*

I am a late 40s career mom and wife. I am tasked to speak to large groups of people with hollow, weary, eye bags...until today!

I searched diligently throughout NY and NJ and meticulously ruled out each plastic surgeon for various reasons due to unprofessional administrative staff, unreturned calls and celebrity docs who surprisingly do not meet with their potential clients at the initial consult. My two year search ended when I met with Doctor Kotlus. He was on time, calm, reassuring and addressed every suitable option to explore. I settled for the scarless Bleph bc I wanted long lasting results. Additionally, bc I am African American, Dr. Kotlus thoroughly explained why laser resurfacing was not an option for my AA skin. Dr. Kotlus also presented a wide array of patient photos in various stages of pre op and post op recovery with impressive results. For these reasons, along with his humility and gentle disposition, cemented my decision on the day of the consult.

My pre op transition was a breeze! The nurse, anesthesiologist were upbeat and calmly eased me through each step with concise explanations and a few chuckles. When I woke up, I felt no pain! When I walked into the reception area, a woman remarked, "Your husband was chatting with me and my husband. It doesn't look like you had anything done! You look so young!"
My goal was to simply look refreshed and wear less makeup for a natural appearance. Dr. Kotlus has certainly exceeded my expectations beyond compare!

Six hours post op felt like the sensation of being at the beach with two small grains of sand in my right eye that slowly melted away. It is now 10:49pm and the sensation is gone without any additional Tylenol.

Lastly, I have never written a review, nor was I encouraged or prompted to write a review. I do believe it is important to share honest information that may encourage prospective clients to pick up the phone and schedule a consult with Dr. Kotlus to see for yourself. I believe that you will find his professional introduction, qualifications and informative consultation to be a deal breaker.

In a short period of time, Dr. Kotlus will be one of the most sought after ocular plastic surgeons in New York City.

In closing, welcome to the Big Apple Dr. Kotlus, you have made this Brooklyn native, turned New Jersey mom, a lifelong, fresh faced fan! Good luck in your future endeavors as you continue to show case your gifted artistry.

How much did this cost?
February 21, 2015
Just over 5k.

Thank you! I have a quote from a NYC surgeon for uppers and lowers and it is 12K…. seems really high compared to prices on this site.
February 21, 2015
My goodness, that is high! His price was just right and on par to NJ quotes, so that was a plus for me. The only added expense of the day was parking on the day of the procedure, a block away was 50 bucks but worth it.

Were you under? This price includes the hospital stay etc..
February 21, 2015
That included everything...facility fee, anesthesiologist and the doctors fee. It was very reasonable and yes, I was completely under. The facility is immaculate! I went home after a 45 minute recovery. You should call for a consult, you will not be disappointed. I asked for a complete tour of everything. I did not want to be in a hospital setting anyway because the likelihood of infection, in my opinion is greater.

Thanks for the information! Will you share before and after pics?

Hello, I would love to post pictures but have opted not to for privacy reasons. I believe if you go to Dr. Kotlus' web site, his works speaks for itself. To date, I look refreshed and so happy to be wearing foundation and very little concealer. The bags are gone and it took years off my life. The best part is that it looks natural. I'm thrilled with the results. I went back to work last week and not one person could tell I had surgery. In fact, my shorter hair garnered more attention. That is the work of a pro. To date, Dr. Kotlus personally communicates via text if I have any questions. He is really a top doctor. While I did not post photos, I would encourage you to call for your own consult and let me know how it went, my email speaks volumes regarding his professionalism, skill and humility. Good luck.

LOVE MY EYES! Thanks Dr. Brett Kotlus, MD

Honestmom
June has arrived and I am 100% pleased with my lower bleph results thanks to Dr. Brett Kotlus! I posted three shots, before surgery, post surgery four weeks out in March with slight swelling under my right eye and the last photo was taken in the first week in May. These photos are untouched and with different lighting. My complexion is best depicted in the first and second photo.

Dr. Kotlus until this day will respond to any issues or pictorial questions I have via text. He is the best. My biggest bonus is that that the dark circles under my eyes are nearly gone and I only have to use a tad bit of concealor with a foundation brush which saves me 40.00 bucks a month in concealor. Lastly, it looks very natural. Kotlus is definitely the go to ocular plastic surgeon in Manhattan! I hope this helps because I remember how anxious I was to find the perfect ocular surgeon. My two year search was worth the wait!
