WORTH IT$15,000
I'm 51 and the last two years noticed a real decline in my skin, particularly the appearance of jowls. I tried all the things we try - expensive creams, etc. Finally I went for a consultation with Dr. Jacono and my husband and I were very impressed. He was honest, matter-of-fact and it felt like he was reading my mind. He voiced all my concerns before I did, right down to the fact that I never imagined myself getting a facelift. The mini-lift was clearly the best option and I have no regrets. I received the best possible care and amazing results. I look forward to every follow-up visit because everyone is so caring. I went in for surgery early one morning and was home resting by well before noon. Two weeks later I went back to work and as Dr. Jacono predicted, all anyone said was that I looked great and did I lighten my hair? (LOL) While I am not obsessed with my appearance and have no big issues with aging, I am very happy to now look in the mirror and see "myself" again. I don't think about the jowls any more, and I just live my life. It is also my second chance at truly taking better care of my skin, having come of age when we were all out there using baby oil to get tan!

Worth every penny

Not sure why others are so concerned about what I paid. Kind of my business, right? It was my FACE. My decision was based on the doctor. You can't really put a price on something so personal. He has no shortage of patients, because of the work he does and the aftercare. Yes, the price included EVERYTHING, plus after care for the rest of my life. I also live on Long Island. Dr. Jacono also funds his own trips to do cleft palate surgery on children in poverty-stricken countries, so if I helped with that, doing something so decadent for myself, I'm more than happy at what I paid. I don't get the whole faux "So sorry you paid so much." No one is truly sorry - you don't even know me LOL. You just want to make a point, give a dig, etc. I'm sure if the price tag is too much for someone, they should find a doctor they can afford. The one person I do know who "bargain shopped" her breast surgery is on her fourth surgery with the same surgeon, in an attempt to "fix" his first surgery. She is trapped because she can't afford a different surgeon at this point. She saved $4,000 initially. She would gladly have paid more if she could go back and just do it right. So thanks for all your concern, but I would not have done this if I could not afford it and I would have not have done this with any other surgeon. This is a man who helps women who have gotten bad surgeries (see the videos on major television programs) or google his work. Just don't minimize this procedure and think anyone can do it, or that it's "no big deal." It was a really big deal and lots can go wrong, if you don't use the right doctor. You cannot put a price tag on this type of expertise. Good luck and God bless!

Dr Jacono is amazing. Yes incredibly talented, intuitive, and he's giving of his time. He's the best and worth every penny, why wouldn't you want the best for your face??

Yonks- one day I will be daring enough to put up a picture of my face. Show me a handful of good results and I’ll show you much more debilitating and devistating outcomes that are so badly filled with nerve damage,Ectropion, oxygen loss noses, crooked smiles, scaring and the list goes on.
Their out there.
Giving of his time? Your kidding right? Don’t get me started -
Even his own peers know he has a reputation of being very aggressive in his surgeries.
Our souls are gone.
So yes, I too wanted the best for my face but years ago there weren’t forums like these to warn others.. You know the truth.

Were you ever able to get the work Dr. Jacono did corrected? I'm just curious. I had bad results with him too. I hope things turned around for you.

So happy a year later

Liking it even better a year later! Went to my 30th college reunion and felt comfortable and confident. No regrets. Glad I did it at 51, so that it wasn't that "big" of a change and now I just don't even think about it anymore. Jowls begone!

You look absolutely beautiful! Fingers crossed he can work that same magic on me. I'm scheduled for a lower facelift and upper and lower blephs with Dr. J in mid October and from the moment I booked it I've been so anxious and wish I was on the other side already. Elective surgery is scary, especially when you already like your face but at 52 years old I've recently noticed some changes and would just like to look like I did 5 years ago when I looked much younger than my years. I have the utmost trust in him and his talent. I just hope all goes as smoothly for me as it did for you. Do you have any advice for me that you wish someone had shared with you? How soon do you think I'll really be able to socialize with friends without them knowing I've done anything so drastic? Only my husband knows and I'm staying in the city for a week post surgery so I can keep it from my teen-aged children.

Hi - just saw this so I apologize for not responding sooner. Take the supplements he gives you and rest, rest, rest. Stop drinking and eat really well beforehand. Realistically, be prepared to be bandaged up and resting for at least that one week and just don't expect to feel like you are ready to do stuff right away. It's SURGERY. I looked maybe slightly swollen, very slightly, when I went back to work at two weeks but if I hadn't said anything, no one would have noticed or commented. Then again, I'm really honest about this type of thing. I would tell your kids, because, well, they are your kids. But if you decide to tell them after, I totally understand. You get a lot o pushback when you decide this because of shows like Botched. What people don't understand is that if you choose the right doctor and only want to look like yourself again, and are not doing anything crazy, you are going to turn out just fine. From this point on, start treating yourself really well - drink lots of water, eat healthy and NO BOOZE. It ages us more than we realize. Email me if you need me. You'll be okay. xoxo

I will "keep the faith" and await more healing! Thanks again for your words of "wisdom"!!!
You look great! Thanks so much for sharing on RealSelf.
I'm sure ALL of the negative posts are REAL and there are many people out there suffering because he did a botched job on them. I happen to be one! He encouraged me to have Fraxel done on my entire face and reassured me that the laser would not cause any harm to my skin. It's been four years and my skin is still damaged by the laser, it's awful! He offers no help when things go wrong. I'm glad your surgery went well but let's see how things go in time. If things should happen to worsen good luck getting his support and watch how fast that sweet doctor and his staff turns on you.
