WORTH IT$8,000
I am so happy I found this site!! The reviews I have read over the past several months have been so informative and helpful (thank you)!! I started my breast reduction journey a few years ago in Texas......was tired of the weight from my 34G chest and scheduled my first consultation. Surgeon was nice, felt confident in him and his skills, but found out about a month later that my insurance would not cover any of the procedure (BC/BS of TX). My family and I were considering moving to Louisiana so I decided to wait. New insurance, consult with PS in Mandeville, LA and to my surprise, insurance approved coverage (70%)......hooray!! Scheduled for august 27 for a life changing surgery!! I am more than ready to end the neck and shoulder pain and excited that excersize will be so much more enjoyable without the weight and discomfort of my large chest!! Appt tomorrow (aug 26) for PS to draw up her roadmap on my chest. More to come......

UPDATED FROM Sweetnips
Day of treatment
Out of surgery :)
Surgery at 9am this morning. Everything went well! Tired mostly, some pain in certain areas where incisions were made. Worse part so far was the nausea shortly after surgery. They pumped me full of phenergan (anti-nausea med since I am so sensitive to pain meds), but once i got up to use the restroom in revovery I got super nauseated. Note to self: don't move around :). Sleepy now and already got a sneak peek....so small!! Yay!! My husband jokingly said "now you can see your feet"! I looked down while he was doing nipple check and emptying the drains and i could see my feet!! What a wonderful discovery! Will try and post some pics in the next couple of days

Your hubby doing "nipple check" te he? Or was it your doctor checking out sutures or sensitivity?

Hi MsBobcat!! We were instructed to check and compare the nipple coloring every 3 hours for the first 24 hours. Surgeon wants to catch any issues w/nipples sooner than later as well as any unusual swelling betweeen breasts. She says any compromised bloodflow to the nipples will show in the first day. So...my husband gets to look at frankenboobies often today and tomorrow :).

Hmm...sounds like a good plan, I wonder how my hubs would handle that. Glad you are happy with size!
