WORTH IT$5,500
My weight has fluctuated about 10 -15 pounds since I was a teenager. Since I'm so tall, people never really noticed, but after dropping to 115lbs in 2013 my breast had lost volume, and appeared to be asymmetric. When I gained the weight back my breast were just so sad looking, and I wanted to look good and feel confident again. Although I had plans for a rhinoplasty, I chickened out and decided to fix my boob situation instead--which was definitely worth it.
My complimentary consultation was done sometime in May 2013. Dr. Boudreaux and his staff made me feel very comfortable, and we talked about an implant in the 400cc range.
When I got home I started doing research on implants and decided that a sub-muscular, silicone implant would be best (which was exactly what the doctor suggested). I knew this was a big decision and wanted to be educated about it. After looking at various shapes and sizes, I decided to go with High Profile. They give great volume on top/cleavage and that's exactly what I needed! I like the look of augmented breasts so the fact that high profiles don't look as natural doesn't bother me.
Sometime in July I put down $500 to schedule my surgery date (Aug5th). I was very nervous as the time grew closer! I tried on several different rice sizers and kept in close contact with the doctor's office. We finally decided that, since I am so tall (almost 5'9") and my BWD larger (14), I could carry a larger implant.
Unfortunately, a few days before my surgery I got a urinary tract infection. I was very worried that I would have to put my surgery off, as I was told at pre-op that I should be in prime health for surgery. Dr. Boudreaux immediately called in a prescription for me!
The night before my surgery I couldn't sleep. I had filled my prescriptions that day and purchased some supplies for post-op (staws, yogurt, etc.). My surgery was at 8am, so I had to be at the surgery center for 6am. When I arrived, I checked in and I gave them a check for the facility cost ($1100).
Then I was brought to the back where they ran an IV. It took the nurse several times to stick me. This is the only complaint that I have! Literally, getting my IV was the hardest part of the surgery. The nurse sprayed something freezing cold on my veins and still couldn't stick me! I'm a very veiny person, so I can only assume she was just not good at IVs. Finally, another, and I presume more seasoned, nurse came and put my IV in--1 stick & no problem! I fell asleep very quickly after that, and the next thing I knew I was in the recovery room.
Since this was over a year ago, this part is very fuzzy. I remember vomiting from the anesthesia and not being able to feel my breasts. They were also very high, and looked like torpedo's. Over the next several weeks things settled and I got all of the feelings back. I only felt comfortable wearing bras though. It hurt to take a bra off to shower, and I couldn't sleep on my stomach. They just felt--something. I felt like I needed the support to hold those big things up!
I went to 1, 3, 6, and 9 month checkups, and everything was fine. My scars even lightened so much that I had to point them out to the nurse at my 9 month post-op!
They have dropped & fluffed tremendously and I've gone from a small 32C to a 32E/F. I know it sounds huge, but with clothes on my top now matches my 40" hip. And I honestly thought implants would make me look fat! People tell me all the time that I look so tiny, though!
I know there's a lot I'm probably missing, but I will be happy to answer any questions you guys may have! Also, I would highly recommend Dr. Boudreaux! He is a great doctor and a genuinely nice/funny guy! Thanks for my new boobs Doc! :)

They look great! So what cc's did you end up going with? I want 500!

Hi Sierra! I got 500cc, and since I'm am so tall I don't feel like they overwhelm my frame. I know it seems huge, but I really feel like they fit me well. They are easy to hide in a t-shirt, or if I feel like being Dolly Parton for a night, I can do that too! :) Good luck!

I am also thinking of a 500cc implant. I am only a 34b right now though so I may end up going a bit smaller. How long after your surgery until you felt you had comfortable full range of motion? What do you wish you had known prior to your surgery? Where is your incision? Thank you for sharing your story!

To be honest, it was probably about a month until I felt like I could comfortably move my arms above my head. I know people say you should get range of motion within a week or two, but that was not the case with me. This could be because I got a larger implant underneath the muscle, or maybe I was just paranoid, lol! I think--going in-- I was pretty educated on the surgery. I had done tons of research, talked to many others who had the surgery(on justbreastimplants), & communicated with my doctor pretty regularly. I don't think there was really anything I didn't know prior that I know now. I will def update you if I think of something!:) My incision is underneath the breast. It's very light, & took only a few short months to fade to white. &You're very welcome! I know how obsessively I researched augmentation so I am happy to share my story. Please let me know if you have any more questions! I'm happy to help.

Thank you very much. I have been researching for over 10 years so I think I'm pretty educated as well but a lot of times peoples personal experiences can teach you a lot and so I never get tired of reading peoples stories and hearing of their experiences. Thank you again.
