Hi i ve read a lot of reviews on here, but noticed there weren't many from many guys and and many reviews from people in the north west so thought i would write one, i have booked in to have my upper and lower abs done, flanks and chest. i started out back in October where i saw laser lipo online and went to the hospital group on a wim really to see if it was the real deal. as i am aware i have only been able to find either the hospital group or Mya that offer laser lipo around the north west, however i could be wrong. Anyway in october i only wanted my love handles doing and saw Dr Paul cronin, he was very honest as to recovery times and professional, but suggested he wanted to do upper and lower abs as well, i have lost about 40lbs and only wanted my sides doing and possibly my lower stomach so wasn't overly turned on, he couldn't tell me how much weight he would remove or how many inches i would loose, and was a bit vague when it came to the actual weight loss. after my meeting with dr cronin i had chat with the sales girls who was pushy i won't lie and told me i would be able to have it done on the thursday and go to a party i had on, on the saturday. i didn't buy into that so left and thought nothing of it.

after christmas i stumbled upon here and started to really do my research, again i could only find the 2 clinics that did it in my area. i found dr cronins own website for his clinic, where he also offered the procedure, it was all very legit. when i went in october i was more hung up on how much weight i would lose etc not the shape, and after seeing some before and after pictures of people that actually lost very little in weight but had a drastic shape change i thought i would push that to the back of my mind.

i tried to then book in for the procedure as i had decided to go ahead from easter weekend but the date was not available and after my 2nd consultation Dr cronin, wanted me to take my time. on my second consultation i was advised the hospital group had 2 doctors that could do the procedure, one dr cronin only did vaser lipo, and the other dr did a bit of everything. when seeing paul again i was armed with questions and wanted to nail him down and get it booked and sorted, paul showed me more pictures of patients and they were impressive, he also showed me a couple that he called less impressive where he had taken two much fat away and he didn't like the shape, to me they all looked gd but not enough males for me to compare myself with . he wasn't pushy at all, intact the opposite, i think he thinks I'm going to be a pain as i no what i want, have a lot of questions and have read up on it, but hey hoe.

He wouldn't give me an litre amount he would remove over the four areas or a weight amount, only that he would take as much out as possible. he said i will have rippling, and i will not have tight perfect skin, which i expect as i have always been 180lbs, then went to 200 then to 160 to 250 now to 210, so i am the definition of a yo yo er.

anyway i left deflated he said top bottom abs sides chest done, don't no what amount he would remove just it all. this time i left in the car and didn't stay for the pushy sales as i was in two minds. the clinic called and were pushy and we chatted over the procedure etc, was promised that they will remove all the fat in the areas and do what i wanted.

that weekend i emailed the clinic with my concerns that i didn't no how much was going to be taken out if it was going to be worth the money and if i would walk out with what i wanted. i was told i wouldn't need a massage after the procedure, however after again looking up on line i will organise this for sure.

after going backwards and forwards i have settled on having the 4 areas done but split over 2 procedures. I'm having my chest and sides done in one sitting and top and bottom abs on the 2nd sitting.

i was sold on this as i would be able to get the maximum amount of fat removed from each area over the two times. so effectivly if they will remove 1litre of fat in one sitting from four areas it would be 250 ml off each area. but if i have the 1 litre a session off two areas then i would have a 500ml off each area. for example so that was my thinking.

my first quote was 5k for 4 areas, and after care, and one garment, we finally settled on 4.5k for the 4 areas, this price is for the 2 separate dates also, so if i was to have this over the 2 days at full cost this would be 6k, so I'm comfortable with the cost and the surgeon.

on my invoicing i am paying 3k for my first procedure then 1.5 for the second so if its awful or I'm not happy for any reason i will cancel the second booking and not pay the 1.5 but I'm sure it will be fine.

although i have waffled on about cost its not purley my reasoning, its more that i want to get the results for what I'm paying, if it meant to pay 8 or 9 for what i wanted i would, but after looking into pals reviews and all the images of his patents that set my mind at ease, he was as honest as he could be i feel and was almost wanted me to go away and this about it for another 6 months, which i was impressed about. for extra piece of mind the hospital group also told me if i am unhappy or if there is anything wrong with my procedure after they would revise it for free, so its in there interests to get it right and give me what i want, i will post some before and after pics nearer the time,

"i have always been 180lbs, then went to 200 then to 160 to 250 now to 210, so i am the definition of a yo yo er"

Did you tell Dr Cronin about your weight fluctuation?

If so, then I would be surprised that he agreed to treat you.

Despite what you may have been told, if your calorific consumption is greater than your calorific expenditure - even moderately and for a short period, then your £4500 of Vaser Lipo treatment would have been of absolutely no greater benefit than if you'd lost the fat through conventional means such as diet and exercise.

If you feel that you were not told this in such plain English, then I advise you contact Independent Healthcare Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS) on:
