41 Years Old General Hair Loss and Loss at Middle / Front of Hair
UPDATED FROM blushes_like_a_tomato
Much improved hair
$257
The condition of my hair has steadily really improved on my supplements (Ferrus Fumerate, L-Lysene, Vit C, Vit D and a Biotin at night together with an iron water) and I feel fantastic. My hair has stopped falling out (I've not had any major stress events in the last 4 months) I've also noticed it has thickened a bit and I no longer have an obvious thin patch (to my eyes anyway). I don't believe it will ever be as thick as it was but that's fine. I also now eat red meat twice a week after over 15 years of not eating it (never been a fan). Hope this helps somebody xx

Slightly low vit D levels but hair improving
I've had a few people comment on my hair looking better recently ???? I've continued with my supplements and have adjusted my lifestyle. I'm 1.5 stone lighter, spin x 3 a week and eat way more fruit and veg. The condition of my hair and thickness has improved. You can't really see it in this shot but it's the best I've got at the mo. I'll be taking a course of vit D and will update after.

Hi, what vitamins do you take? Are you using any treatments? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hi Sorry for the late reply I've turned off my email alerts (they're a pain)
I take Ferrus Fumerate, L-Lysene, Vit C and a Biotin at night. I founfd that combo off a hair loss forum. I've not started any minixidol as yet but I may do if it doesn't improve further xx

What is the name of your doctor?
Hi I went to see Dr Tim Clayton in Manchester England. Not cheap but more focused than my NHS docs. He's a nice bubbly chap too :)

Action plan after seeing my Dematologist
I'm really happy with my consultation with Dr Tim Clayton in Manchester :) He's professional and friendly and goes through things in detail which I really appreciated. We went through my history and he had a good look at my scalp. It looks like I have a very mild case of female pattern baldness (doesn't that just make ya feel sexy) combined with chronic telogen effluvium due to stress. I also have some dermatitis on my scalp which hopefully some steroid shampoo will sort out.
I'm going to go back on stronger iron tabs to get my ferritin up to 50 so hair growth can be boosted. I'll also be tested for my Zinc, B12 and Vit D levels which I haven't had tested before, and if they're low I'll be bumping them up. I've got the option to try minixidol but I think I'll only do that if nothing from the inside works. My hairs whole growth and rest cycle has possibly been knocked out of a normal pattern for good now. On the upside though it's not still coming out at an abnormal rate. I just feel lucky that more didn't fall and it was reasonably thick in the first place. Hope this helps any ladies out there who have experienced hair loss.

Also I have had no further loss after my BA :)
What is BA? So all you are doing is taking iron? Have you started Minoxidil? I'm in the same situation.
Hi Sorry BA is Breast Augmentation. Surgery is a stress to the body and in some people can cause a little bit of temporary hair loss, but mine didn't. Yes I'm just on iron and Vit C until my blood tests come through. My test was put into an incorrect vial apparently so I'm having them done again next week. I'm not starting Minixidol until I know more about my blood levels and more about it as a treatment. I'd like to look into the possible side effects (if any) and want to consider that once I start it I'd have to continue with it. xx
I've read a lot of women having issues w/hair loss that have or had BA sx. I've had my BL/BA sx 2 yrs ago but starting having issues w/hair loss this April. I'm also dealing with brain fog, joint stiffness, vertigo & vision disturbances etc. With my hair loss I'm losing my hair in clumps some days not just excess shedding. I was never one to believe in BII (Breast Implant Illness) but I'm starting to reconsider it?! I started Viviscal and went to a dermatologist today. They gave me a steroid to use on my scalp today for 1 month.
How are things going for you? Any updates? How's the hair looking? Thanks for sharing your journey with us. :-)
* minoxidil not minixidol
Hi Ladies. I wanted to comment on the IRON - woman need to get their FERRITIN to 70 to stop hairloss and 100 to have enough IRON to start regrowing. A high Iron Diet, most importantly HEME IRON From red meat + a Good suppliment like FERAMAX (I think it's called) taken best on an empty stomach + Vit C for absorption and also cut down on coffee/tea (esp tea!) dairy and some grains will prevent absorption of iron. IRON is tough to get up but you can do it :)
yes! this is very true!
