WORTH IT
I had no hesitation in contacting Gary Ross, I wanted a surgeon who had breast reconstruction expertise plus plastic surgery experience. Gary performed the explant which all went to plan including removing the thick capsules. I'd had twos sets of implants (done elsewhere), both of which had gradually over the years, encapsulated. I cant say I was over moon with my results, the implants had left my skin very stretched and saggy. I'd spent some years hiding my hard, over sized implanted breasts but after I to hide my small saggy breasts, as only my husband knew about the whole ordeal! It was exhausting looking for the padded/push up, get you up a cup bras and bikinis so I thought the fat transfer was well worth a try. I waited a full year to recover physically and emotionally. Gary told me to expect subtle results, which I was happy with and having read every review on RS from the good bad and the ugly I thought, well worse case scenario, at least I'll have thinner thighs. I had 350cc's of fat, harvested from my inner and outer thighs plus flanks. Recovery was so much easier than either the implant or explant. I was glad I'd taken a go-girl with me so I could pee standing up, it was a help in the first 24 hours. You also need to take leggings or something lose to go home in, I didn't and what with the spanx and the swelling from the lipo, it wasn't easy going home in my jean. I only took a few paracetamol over the first few days, the pain is a bit like you've just done a really good work out in the gym and it gets better each day, the more you move around. My incisions didn't ooze or bleed at all and I kept my spanx on for a full 7 weeks which is probably the worst part of the recover and it seem like a lifetime but if you read why its important you wont remove them. I lived my life as normal, I didn't cut out coffee or wine (now that would have been a hard recovery) I didn't find any research that stated either of those two things would affect the result negatively, in fact I noticed one Doctor on RS suggested it may work as a vasodilater. I am very happy with the results and its great to be off the implant treadmill. I now wear a 34D Marks and Spencer's soft T shirt bra which is just brilliant. I cant say my boobs are perfect but after what they've been though they at least now look normal for a women of my age, which is really all I wanted.

For me you look perfect!!! Great results!!! My fat transfer after explant will be in march...hope to look normal again!!!
Best of luck with your procedure.
You look good ! You give me hope, I really need a fat transfer, even a small one !
Hi
I am having my 30 year old implants out and having a lift at the same time with a fat transfer to fill where the implant use to be.
Where did you buy a good post op bra from and where can I get a good compression garment from in the UK.
Do you have any after pictures as would love to see your end result.
Any advice would be warmly Appreciated.

Sorry just saw your after pictures it's a good result
Hi Koolcoffee. Best of luck with your upcoming surgery, I didn't have enough tissue for a lift after my exolant my breasts were just saggy skin so I think you'll get a great result. I'll do an update in a month or two but no changes, breasts are soft and no lumps. My lipo marks are still visible but I'm very fair skinned, don't book any holidays in the next few months! I bought a post op bra off amazon which was fine but the straps weren't adjustable which became a pain. I saw a nice post surgery T shirt bra in M&S a few weeks ago and I wish I'd got that. It's black with a dark purple edging, not under wired and soft. Gary told me snug but not tight, a good sports bra (again with adjustable straps and you'll be sleeping in it and I felt I need sled it loser at night) After your surgery you will be in a compression garment, I bought a pair of Spanx in small and just went between the two, Gary suggested Spanx so I don't think you need to buy any specialist lipo garment. Hope that's helpful.
Hi sorry the post below was from my phone and my old review for the explant if you're confused. If I can help you with anything let me know. Who is your surgeon?
i'm considering having the same procedure (explant with lift and fat transfer), but i'm concerned about scars from the lipo where they take the fat from (thighs). do you have scars still???
Hi Vicki. My inner thigh marks were initially awful, bumpy, deep red and unsightly, however the marks have completely disappeared. On the outside of my thighs, I still have deep red scars which look like I'm bruised, its still early days for the scars to fade, if after 7 months and things are still the same I'll try fractional lazer or skin needling. I need to look ok in swimwear in another 5 months so fingers crossed, just don't book a holiday within 6 months or having the treatment... It has still be worth having the fat transfer, my breasts look better and my thighs are slimmer. I'm 50 so I'm not often in swimwear and never in hot pants so for me its fine! Good look and feel free to ask for an update in another few months!
My goodness you have a body of a 21 year old! You look amazing!
Your results look great including the lipo pics - congrats! For the above comment about lumpy thighs - is there anything special you did to help resolve the issue/lumps? Are they pretty normal in person now? Thanks so much for your helpful review.

How much fat was transferred to each breast and how much did it cost?
