I'll try keep this as short as possible

I'll try keep this as short as possible, as I've had a very long journey to finally get to this stage. In a nut shell, in May 2016 I made the mistake of going overseas for cosmetic surgery and it went terribly wrong. I'm a 26 year old female and I have always had a complex about my weak chin, and it's proportion to my nose and the rest of my face. I always dreamt of being like one of those magazine models with a super sharp and chizzled jawline & cute button nose, but the Gods didn't bless me with such luck unfortunately! And so, after many years of consideration and saving up I decided to go to Thailand to have a chin implant done. It was recommended to me by the Dr that I have a rhinoplasty along side it to create a better overall balance (which is quite common and I trusted his "expert" opinion). This Dr's name is Dr Parinya whom I CAN NOT and DO NOT recommend. The result of Dr Parinya's surgery left me in a much worse off state than I had been prior to having anything done. I was given a much too large chin implant for my face and left with a crooked nose (which also had a loose lump of bone on the bridge causing a hump). I was absolutely devestated and felt like I looked NOTHING like usual myself. I wanted my surgery to be a subtle improvement, not a drastic change for the worse. Post op and during the healing phase I wenr in to a downward spiral of anxiety and depression and for a few months I didn't even leave the house because I was so unhappy with the way I looked. Even after months of patiently waiting for the swelling ( which I had lots of ) to subside my results were just getting worse and worse, revealing more and more issues. After months of waiting and chasing it was clear Dr Parinya wasn't going to fix his botch job and so, over 1 year later ( which is the minimum time to allow for revision surgery ), after lots of searching I finally found Mr Murphy at Spire Manchester Hospital. I had consultations with many surgeons in the UK, USA and Australia prior to meeting with Mr Murphy and frankly, noone wanted to touch me because of the complexity of my case. Noone wanted to fix another surgeons mess, which is understandable. I was at my wits end when I went to see Mr Murphy. It was the best decision i made. This was BY FAR the best consultation I had attended. He took his time at my free initial consultation (over 1 hour) whereby he listened to all my concerns, compared photos of my before and afters, did a physical examination of my face and (most importantly for me) used the 3D imaging software to show me what could possibly be achievable with revision surgery. This was a really useful tool in being able to communicate exactly what my expectations were. We manipulated the image to have a more balanced and "cuter" nose, a better proportioned chin and a more defined jawline. We agreed that to achieve these results I would be required to undergo a revision open rhinoplasty, a revision chin implant ( to swap the current one for a smaller and better proportioned one ) and to have some liposuction to my neck / chin. After this, Sue ( the lovely lady who handles all the paperwork side of things ) talked me through the costs of the surgery. I was quoted £8870 for all of the above surgeries Inc all hospital fees and other fees. This was a fixed price and it's what I paid. No hidden costs. I found it to be very reasonable as I was expecting it to be much more for such a complicated case. I booked my surgery date for 4th Sept 2017 there and then. I had to attend a follow up appointment a couple of weeks later to confirm I was still happy to go ahead with everything and to sign the paperwork prior to my surgery. This appointment was charged at £150 but was already included in the previously mentioned quotation. I assume this appointment is more a way of recouping the money for the "free" initial consultation they offer, but to be honest, I didn't mind as i was very happy with the service I'd recieved and the level of knowledge and professionalism from Mr Murphy and his staff. He's a lovely man, very empathetic ( I cried during my initial consultation and he had the tissues ready haha! ), he's very very skilled at what he does, and most importantly he LISTENS to what you're hoping to achieve by having surgery with him and he's HONEST about what he can and can't do. There's no BS. So let's fast forward to my surgery day; I'm feeling very excited and confident. I don't often get nervous about things and having had surgery overseas before ( I went alone ! ) but this time I had my Mum with me for support...I was feeling good! I won't go in to too much detail about the hospital experience etc as I'm sure other reviewers have already , but I stayed for 1 night and it's a very clean and well maintained hospital. On arrival, you are shown to your own private en-suite room where you can relax with a companion until it's time to go for your surgery. They provide the with the usual socks and gown etc for you to change in to and have all the necessary people come introduce themselves and ask you a lot questions. All the hospital staff were friendly, professional and very attentive both before and after my surgery. The food was suprisingly well presented and delicious, with a good selection of choices - I really enjoyed it and it was a very welcome bonus that I didn't expect from being in hospital. As I have had surgery before i knew what to expect when i came around from the anesthesia. I wasnt in much pain and the swelling was hardly noticable. I had slight yellow bruising under my eyes, but nothing a bit of makeup couldnt fix (but of course this can vary from person to person). Mr Murphy comes to visit you before you go down for your surgery and then again after (before you are discharged). You arrange the first lot of follow up appointments with the nurse ( if you need stitches removed etc ) and then some more with Mr Murphy himself. I'm 7 months post op now and have had 2 appointments with the nurse and 2 follow ups with Mr Murphy. I'm happy with the results and so I don't need to go see him again unless I decide I want to. He is a true artist! He's sculpted my nose back to perfection! During the surgery he discovered that I had not only had a chin implant fitted but I had also in fact had a sliding genioplasty ( where the bone is cut and moved forwards ) and so he decided it would be worth seeing how things looked without an implant at all and leaving the moved bone where it was. I'm happy with his decision as now it's just right, not too big and not too small. I was refunded the £500 for the implant what wasn't used. He also used his own judgement to determine how much fat to remove from my neck / chin. I would possibly have preferred slightly more to be removed but im still happy with the results and overall outcome, and happy he eased on the side of caution considering my bad experience previously. To conclude, I only have extremely good things to say about Mr Murphy and his team and I can't recommend him highly enough! I had an excellent experience and I know he's there if I do ever need to go back to him for more free follow ups. I finally feel like ME again and for that I'm forever greatful! I no longer cry when I look in the mirror or hide away from people I know. I can go out again and be proud of what I look like and most importantly, noone knows I've even had anything done! I just get complimented on how well I look, which is what i was aiming for all along. Thank you so much, and I'll be back soon to have my breast revision when I've had chance to save up again !
