A little update

I'm very happy with how things are healing, all is going well and I feel very able to exercise as normal. I've had a bit of trouble with putting on some weight lately, I think the 8 weeks I didn't exercise allowed me to get lazy. I found it very difficult to get back in to things. One thing I wanted to mention which I didn't mention before is sex- a weird subject when talking about a tummy tuck but I can assure you it's been a big deal! After surgery and probably until now I noticed a noticeable difference in the sensitivity down there during sex- its only now that things have started to feel like they're getting back to normal. The point of me sharing this is incase it happens to someone else too. I totally freaked out thinking I'd never feel the same again- it's not something I ever expected to effect but it did! I hope none of you ladies notice a difference but if you do then it should just be temporary!xx

Little update...

All is healed, I'm feeling back to myself and really happy with everything so far. Scarring is improving and I'm looking forward to it improving even more!

Taping my tummy...

The last few days I've been trying different things to get the last bit of my scar to heal, it seems that every night it starts to heal then in the day it pops open again. I first tried steri strips, then microporous tape and lastly I have used plaster fabric tape that you would use to hold a bandage up in conjunction with a small sterile dressing. It seems to have helped, and of course time is a healer but I've been able to get on with doing things without worrying about my tummy.
I still have some excess, my skin isn't exactly taught so I can tape up my tummy so there is no tension. I applied the dressing first then the tape as the tape is SO sticky after its warmed up on your skin!
