I'm 20 years old, female from London UK (yes I travelled alone to the Philippines, quite enjoyed it tbh). I'm Half White Half Asian and my nose was very wide and bulbous. I received tip and alar plasty from a filipino cosmetic surgeon Dr Rino Lorenzo. He's a funny guy, charismatic and IMO very talented at his work. The main annoyance i've experienced was having to take so many medications :/, also had my operation under Local anaesthesia which I was quite apprehensive about but looking back I'm so glad I did it under Local, the only pain i felt were the shots of the anaesthetic. However, so far I'm very happy with the result/progress, I'm almost one month post-op now, just waiting for my tip to de-swell completely as it's still a little upturned. I definitely recommend Dr Rino Lorenzo to anybody considering him. Any questions are welcome and will be glad to answer them :)

My tip was clearly upturned and now it's looking much straighter, when i touch my nose i can feel its still raised slightly but it has certainly gone down

Was your goal to have a more projected nose? It looks more projected than the before.

No it actually wasnt, this is the only criticism about my new nose. I liked the height before i just wanted it narrower with smaller nostrils and a smaller tip but my doctor said he had to give me some projection in order to create a smaller tip that would function well (breathe) so i just accepted that. I'm still hoping the projection will go down a bit more as time goes on, overall I'm still happy with the surgery because its way better than my old nose.

still waiting for the tip to completely flatten, doctor said it will take up to the 12-18 month mark, the side profile hasn't changed much since the last update tbh, deswelling is now definitely slowing down.

You look fantastic! I just wanted to know if there are visible scars on your nose or they're minimal and barely visible? I'm thinking of getting alarplasty and tipplasty as well can you share the website you found Dr Lorenzo. Thanks

Hi, first of all Thank you :). If you just type in Dr Rino Lorenzo into google and his website will come up first option, also the scar on the base of the columella is barely visible at this point, it's very faint. The scars from the alar-plasty on the sides of my nostrils are more apparent though, in all honesty i do think its visible especially the first few weeks of getting it done, at this point (6 months) they're quite minimal and only can be seen when pointed out, it can be easily covered with makeup though.

Hi Lisa, I just had the same surgery as you - alar and tip plasty with ear cartilage. I was wondering if you found your nose to be upturned and your nostrils more visible from the front? (Flaring out)

Hi there, I should post a one year update soon as its just gone past. My tip has still not completely` flattened, so in that respect it is slightly 'upturned' but not in a pig-nose way. My nostrils aren't more visible from the front they're pretty similar to how they were before.

Lisa, Richard again, I'm getting close to my procedure. How's the look of the appearance of the incision on your nose. Noticeable even after a year?

You are so so pretty omg and your nose looks perfect. Such an attractive person. Are the scars on the alar rim bad or did they heal good?
