WORTH IT$7,400
I had my first daughter when I was 21. After Leana was born I really only had a few stretch marks underneath my belly button. With my second daughter, Alana, I gained over 60 lbs. Considering my skin doesn’t stretch very well, I had stretch marks now above my belly button but I was also left with horrible loose hanging skin. I hated it. For years, I thought about getting a tummy tuck but I couldn’t help feeling selfish for spending that much money on my own vanity. Now that my daughters are 18 and 21, I don’t feel selfish anymore. It was definitely time. Operation make Geana happy is real.

Left the clinic this morning-Finally home

So I stayed at the clinic overnight with the nurse. Well there were 2 nurses...loved them. They were great. It also showed me what I needed to do. When I first woke up out of surgery I was super cold and couldn’t stop shivering. This clinched every muscle in my body and was excruciating. Soon after, I was given something to warm up and felt a lot better. My doctor told me that everything went well and that I needed to make sure that I took deep breaths, walked as much as I could and had a bowel movement within the next 2 days. He said that if I got a fever and called him that was what he would tell me. My daughters came to pick me up from the clinic at 5 am and have really taken care of me. So far, the pain medication has helped tremendously but I have to be honest, it still hurts. Between the pain meds, sleeping pills, vitamins, stool softener and healing meds it is a lot to keep track of. Nothing is really comfortable but it is tolerable. The walking part is very difficult and hurts the most. Just shifting positions is a challenge. The drains are in the way and although I have taken the stool softeners, I have still not been able to go number 2. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit easier and I can finally release, although I haven’t been able to eat much of anything anyway.

Thanks!!! I have changed from the stool softeners to an actual stimulant and prune juice. Still no go. It is becoming very uncomfortable. I have tried Colace and then Dulcolax. Is there anything that worked better for you?

Saw this after my other comment, lol
Yes, try that tea, seep for 15 minutes covered as per instructions, works overnight.

How did the bellybutton heal?

Hmmm, it is still changing every day. So much better than we started. It finally started going in but I still have 2 threads poking out of it that have not dissolved. I do not know what it is going to end up looking like but it is looking much better. I will try to post a picture of it when I get home today.

I had an abdominoplasty after my 7lb. 8oz. and 8lb. 9 oz. Twins, then my 9lb. 3 oz daughter. It was sooooo painful and I was in the hospital 5 days. I can so remember how much pain I was in. It worked out fine until I gained a lot of weight. I then went on to do a bariatric ruin y bypass and I still have need for a tummy tuck. Ugh! Just don't want to go through that again at age 65. Best of luck to you! It looks great!

Day 3 has been a doozy!!!
GChristian4538April 10, 2018
I think I finally have a pretty good schedule down for all of the medicine now. My main issue now is that I cannot make a bowel movement and for some reason my period has come a full 7 days early. This is kind of the Pitts. My stomach is so bloated with gas. I started out taking a mild stool softener Colace that I was told about by the overnight nurse. Nothing happened. My daughter then picked me up a mild stimulant laxative Dulcolax...still nothing but gas. My grandmother told me to drink prune juice...still nada. I have to say that this is very uncomfortable. My drains look good. The stitches look great. Still swollen but the pain meds have made even that tolerable. I just can’t seem to poop for the life of me. I’ve also only been eating soup. Does anyone here have any ideas on scaring the poop monster out of me. Earlier, I went through a moment of extreme nausea. Then I broke out in a complete sweat. Dripping wet. Then I felt too weak to even move. No fever this time but OMG I think I would feel much better if I could just properly go to the bathroom.

Walmart sells a tea called Smooth Move (tea/coffee aisle), drink before bed, should help by morning.

I’m post op day 4 and still haven’t had a bm. I can feel it coming but once I’m on the toilet, nothing happens. You look great

People do not realize how serious waiting for the bm is. For me, the Dulcolax worked the next day.
