Well, I can finally say that I am in better spirits. Not in pain anymore (but I didn’t forget). I can still feel a sneeze or cough but it is not painful. Sitting around not doing anything was hard and I ended up gaining about 7 lbs but I finally felt good enough to get in the gym last week so I will work it back off. I am only going three times a week to start off so it will take some time but at least I am going. My bellybutton is healing but it still looks extremely man made. Oh well, it is what it is. I got what I wanted and the extra skin is gone so I am happy with it. I went into this not expecting a total makeover. I didn’t want to get sculpted or add anything. I just wanted the extra skin gone. I wanted to be able to tuck my shirts in. I didn’t want crinkly skin showing when I wore a form fitting shirt or dress. I know that I am still healing and that will take more time but I am comfortable and completely happy with me. That’s a win in my book. We will see how the next few weeks and months go.

You look wonderful, nice being able to hit the gym too. Your bb will probably change down the road, I remember feeling iffy about mine and thankfully it changed for the better :)

The updated bellybutton

It still looks pretty weird to me but it’s so much better than it was. It has started to go in so hopefully it will continue to improve. There is still one stitch sticking out.

Well, it’s finally better. I can say that I still feel a little pain when I sneeze or cough but it’s now tolerable. I can sleep on my sides but I have to be careful not to pull on the incision when I’m rolling over. Looking forward to healing completely. I do not think I can go to the gym yet. When I try to exercise I can still feel discomfort and pulling on the incision but I think I should be able to in a couple more weeks. I can’t wait to work out. My arms and legs feel like jelly since I haven’t been doing anything for the last 5 weeks. All in all I am feeling so much more like myself. The binder I received from the doctor was really stretched out so I had to discontinue that but I wore spanx until yesterday. I just felt to restricted. I will definitely keep wearing compression garments, especially to sleep but I needed a break today. How long do you really need to wear them after surgery?????? Our systems are down at work so I guess I will take a couple of pictures in the bathroom.

You look fantastic!!
I wore my compression for 7 months, not to bed tho. And I'll put on if I'm really swollen, which yes, still happens for me, ugh.
Happy healing, I know that side sleeping must have felt heavenly!

Did you switch to spanx or did you continue to use a binder?
