BEFORE AND AFTER PICS!

So it’s been 6 weeks since my sclerotherapy treatment. And though the veins are still there I can see they have faded some, and are turning brownish in color. I think I will most def need another session or two, to achieve the desired results I’ve been hoping for. The photos don’t really do my legs much justice. They actually look much better in person. Even my mom said she noticed a difference and may give sclerotherapy a try for herself.
I’m pretty upset because I missed my second appt I had scheduled for today with Dr. Shiloh :( I will absolutely be rescheduling. I just don’t want to wait too long because I will be away down the shore soon in about a month and know how the veins look worse for a little while before they start to look better after the treatment. I am a little concerned about this one area above my left ankle. It looked like it was starting to form an ulcer but has scabbed over. It’s been very red, tender and sore, and even itches from time to time. It looks better than it did a couple weeks ago but I’m keeping an eye on it.
Overall, I am pretty confident that after a couple more treatments I will be able to, or shall I say, Dr. Shiloh will be able to achieve my desired results. I’m certainly not looking for perfection, but any improvement from what these legs looked like before will make me feel better!! And yes, I know there is the possibility of the veins returning and reappearing in the future. It’s still worth it to me. So please refrain from leaving negative, discouraging comments and remarks. I am well aware. I am ALSO aware of many others who have achieved positive results and who are extremely happy with the outcome of their procedure. If the veins come back down the road, then they come back. But I’ll enjoy this while it lasts :)
In all of the photos, the Top pics are about 2 hours after the procedure. The Bottom pics were taken today at 6 weeks post treatment. And again, they really do look better in person. But the veins are still there. And don’t mind the edema, my ankles and feet are pretty swollen at the moment (the left one especially).

Ok, so this is sort of a continuation of my other review but for some reason I am unable to edit the Doctor on that one. And I wanted to make sure this review reflected the ACTUAL doctor I am reviewing!
So if you came across my other review of my hideous, unsightly spider veins, I mentioned that I had been to several places already. I first went to Vein Clinics of America, GINORMOUS waste of time, and then Dr. Bash, horrible bedside manner and basically insinuated I was lying (with regard to my swelling and pain). I was about to throw in the towel when Dr. Shiloh found ME and commented on my review. I was skeptical and honestly, just didn’t feel like hearing the same thing again for the third time. But I spent quite a lot of time researching him and reading reviews and finally decided to just go for it. I figured, at this point, what do I have to lose?! Worst case scenario, I’ll be right back where I started.
I just returned home a little while ago from my consultation with Dr. Shiloh. And tho it’s only been a few hours I have zero regrets (so far). Dr. Shiloh is absolutely AWESOME!!! He genuinely loves what he does! You can see his passion in his work and he sincerely wants his patients to be happy! He and one of the techs each performed an ultrasound of my legs to see if there was any reflux but nothing major showed up. Therefore, my insurance wouldn’t cover any procedure and it would be considered cosmetic. The cost of the sclerotherapy was $300 for a 30-minute session. He explained why it was only 30 minutes and I assumed I would have to schedule another appointment to have the procedure done. But he was able to do it right then and there!! I was thrilled! He told me Tuesdays were his days for consults and he typically didn’t perform any procedures on this day. But he went out of his way to “squeeze” me in since the office had called me to reschedule (and I was supposed to be seen on a Monday, one of the days he normally performs the procedure). He just really went the extra mile.
He moved me into another room with one of the nurses and got right to work. I was SUPER excited to FINALLY be having this procedure done!!!! I wasn’t even nervous or worried about any pain until I saw the needle. Lol. I forget the name of the injection (Asclera maybe?). But it honestly wasn’t bad at all. I’ve had worse. It was just a little pinch (about 50 times! Lol!). It was amazing to watch! Dr. Shiloh was so into it and I loved his enthusiasm! He is a master at what he does. It def takes some meticulous skill to find the vein and actually hit it! As soon as he injected each vein it was amazing to watch each “web” of spider veins vanish and disappear with each prick!!! But, of course, as soon as the blood rushed back in the vein reappeared. He said this was normal and just part of the process. The veins will soon die and become absorbed into the bloodstream. I honestly can NOT wait to see the results!!! Once he got started he couldn’t stop!! Lol!! It was actually more fun than I had anticipated. Dr. Shiloh is a fun, down to earth kinda guy. He makes you feel totally comfortable and takes his time with you. I didn’t feel rushed or blown off. It was the complete opposite!!
I was given compression stockings to wear and I def need at least one more session. I don’t mind having to come back for another session because I know it will be worth it. I will say this procedure wasn’t the most comfortable. It wasn’t exactly painful, persay, but it didn’t tickle either. My legs started to burn and sting where I was stuck and injected. There was some blood with each injection and I just remember thinking to myself “not my brand new pants!!” Lol! But I’m glad I wore comfy, loose sweats. As I was walking to my car my legs felt really tender and sore. It feels like a really bad razor burn, like shaving your legs completely dry! But when I got home I took 2 Advil (Ibuprofen) and I feel completely fine now! I’m super SUPER excited to see the results!!!!! I can’t wait to be rid of these horrific spider veins!!! Now I’m one more step closer. Thank you so much Dr. Shiloh!!! I will absolutely be back!! I just wish I had come to him sooner. This is def the kind of procedure you want done BEFORE summer!! I will update later with photos :)

Dr. Shiloh is AWESOME!!! He is so passionate about his work and truly loves what he does! He is very personable and down-to-earth, extremely easy to talk to, and makes you feel completely comfortable. He is thorough and efficient, compassionate and energetic. He exudes enthusiasm and confidence and makes his patients’ satisfaction his number one priority! Dr. Shiloh really went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations! The entire staff at Main Line Vascular were super friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. The receptionist at the front desk were extremely friendly and upbeat, asking me if I needed anything (a snack or drink while I waited to be seen, and again before I left). The nurse, Crystal, was also very nice and accommodating, asking me if I was ok throughout the prodecure. She even got me a nice heated blanket before the procedure because I was so cold. I am beyond pleased with my experience so far. And I am definitely looking forward to returning for my second procedure :) I would highly recommend Dr. Shiloh at Main Line Vascular. Make this your first, and ONLY, stop!!
