I am not her to slander nor promote and will try to review in an objective point of view. I Wanted the procedure to address bulbous tip and wide nostrils. After filling out a form on the website I was contacted for a consultation which all went fine, except when I asked if I could perhaps see before and after pictures of other 'ethnic' rhino cases he said something along the lines of 'Well why dont you book a flight to Madrid and I will show you'. I booked the procedure. To be honest I was so fast to book the procedure because his availability fit perfectly with a new job start date.
The facilities are really good in a private hospital and they do all the pre general anaesthetic tests and have good recovery nurses etc. I cannot fault the actual process itself.
I had some tip grafts and nostril reduction. When I took the bandage off I immediately noticed the area above my tip on either side was extremely large. He did a good follow up for a while. Calling every couple months, I convinced myself I liked the result for a while.
He did a good nostril reduction they are round still and symmetrical. I do have bad scars but that could be just my skin type etc.
See photos. No I have not put them in the wrong order before photos are on the left.
The mid area just above my tip on either side is at least 5mm thicker which actually makes my whole bridge look unbelievably chunky. My bridge was the only thing I liked about my old nose and now it is horrible. He kept saying it is swelling and to wait but it has been 1.5 years and I can feel something beneath the skin. Whether its a graft or scarring I do not know. When I told him about it every few months, my bridge is chunky he would reply, 'I didnt touch your bridge' :-/. Well clearly whatever was touched is making my bridge look broad. Side profile used to go up which I liked but now it is not even straight but goes downward even, very underprojected and droopy. So overall my nostrils are smaller tip is the same but with extra bulk added above which just makes it look quite weird like an avatar nose.
I waited a long time to give a review so that I could wait for swelling, then if that didnt resolve I wouldve waited after a revision if it were offered. My pictures clearly show a revision is warranted. In our last few consultations I expressed I would like a revision to which he responded lets wait two months and we will see then. Of course two months later my nose is still chunky (which everybody notices) and underprojected. They usually email me to remind me to update them but have not this time. So I have sent him my updated photos and my availability for a telephone call and have not gotten a response so far. He usually calls within 2 days. I suspect at this point I have been flagged as a nuisance and the prospect of a revision is not going to be entertained. So I am currently looking for a new surgeon.
