Always wanted my tummy back. After 2 kids and menopause. And back surgery it's hard to get back to feeling good about yourself. I had a good Dr.in my home town, wanted him to be close by, I work part-time so getting time off was ok. I felt really good after 2 WK.s Every day is better than the last. And yes I would do it all over.

Hi Ladies, been a been a little bit since I posted, I took down my pictures, I'm just not comfortable looking at myself. I have been dealing with people talking about my weight all my life and I will be 50 in a few months. I'm almost 7wk.s po. and I like how my tummy looks in the morning, but then it swells throughout the day and (yuk)

I'm a little concerned, went to the bathroom and noticed a small open area on the incision line. It's about the size of a little bigger than a pin head. I noticed before that it was purple in color, thought it was just healing but it opened and bled out. Let my Dr. know and he thinks it is a suture working it's way out or a pool a blood under neath looking for a way to get out. Either way scared the crap out of me.

I am surprised dr Bernsten is still performing surgery. I had a revision with him and he was such a jerk to me! I ended up needing a 3rd surgery and traveled out of town to have it done to ensure I got good results this time around. Last I heard from him (dr Bernsten) he is retiring very soon!! I'm glad you've had a positive experience with him, however he totally dismissed my concerns and became very rude with me as did his front desk staff!

So sorry that happened to you. I got at my consultation that he definitely is very straight forward, but that's what I wanted. Thankfully everything has gone really well for me, and my scar line is flush with skin. I hope you are doing well and happy with the results of the other surgeon. My girlfriend had a bad experience with another well known Dr. In Madison.

Yeah I went to dr bartell and he didn't "botch" me but the results were NOT what I was looking for. Dr Bernsten did my revision and just made things worse. He was nice and even funny at times until I started having complications (pain) he was really rude and made some very smart remarks to me. It's too bad you took your pictures down I just had a tummy tuck with my new surgeon (did my boobs in December and just went back to have him do a TT in June, I love him!) so it's always nice to follow others along the journey to see how they are doing/healing and just for the reassurance and whatnot :)

My surg. was 4/24, I love my results and forget I even had it done. I can exercise, run, do yoga, I have been helping people move and lifting heavy furniture. I feel very fortunate.

That's awesome. I have a friend who had TT also and she started running and working out a month after surgery! I had a Drainless TT with lipo to my hips/flanks and have been recovering really well. I love my belly button too! I've seen some really funny looking ones lol. I'm only 3 weeks PO almost 4.. my steri strips are still on and I'm all for letting them fall off on their own. Although they are getting lose so I got some medical adheasive remover wipes and I'm going to work on getting them off, cleaned up and then re covered. I'm all for keeping the incisions completely covered to ensure good long term scaring down the road. My breast lift incisions from my surgery in December with my current PS are healing really nicely so I'm sure my TT incision will too ;)

Glad to hear you are doing well and are happy with your results!
