Been a long time

Hello Rs ladies! Its been 2 years since i last updated. Let me say it has been an adventure!! After my original surgery i spoke about a blood blister above my mans on my incision line. As we attempted to get it to heal, it did turn into an infection. 3 more surgeries were required before it finally was healed. A lot of tears, a lot of stress and a TON of time off of work. I was left with hardly no skin left at my incision line (the incision line runs hip to hip, and in the middle is almost an inch wide!) Another scar, from the very last surgery goes from my belly button vertically down approx 4 inches.
I do not fault anyone or anything for the infection, other than my body being difficult. I have complete faith in my Doctor and know that he did everything humanly possible to help. (LOVE HIM)
That being said. He did tell me that i could come back in a year and try for reconstructive surgery. Well, it has been two years. I think I am finally OK enough with the thought of going back down that path again. That is why i am writing. Looking for anyone with information on reconstruction. Pros/Cons.. Outcomes? Any information would be appreciated.

Day 10 post op

Hello all! Well, I'm at day 10. Starting to feel "normal" again. Yesterday was my Dr appt. He removed my other drain and my belly button stitches! Soooo nice to have the drains out! It instantly makes you feel better. Ran some errands after the appt. Came home and rested. Today, I may have over done it a bit. I felt so good when I woke up this morning. So I did a little housework, took a shower, folded laundry etc. Now my body is mad at me. I'm VERY swollen and sore. Back to the recliner I went to rest. I think I'll take it easy tomorrow :)
