I am 29 married mother of two adorable boys (5 & 3). I'm 5'4 and 130-135lbs, I gained up to 182 with each pregnancy and delivered both by c-section. My current breast size is a very droopy 34 b/c. They look like empty sand bags. My stomach is a whole other story. I've been told it's not bad, but I can't wait to have it fixed. It's like an jiggily pouch that I'm so embarassed by. I've always struggled with my weight, and about 4 months ago I finally found something that works for me. Juicing! I did a 14 day juicing cleanse and followed by eating suger healthy then another 9 day cleanse followed by desperatly wanting to stop eating meat (chicken, beef, pork) I will still eat eggs and fish. My once full 158lb body slimmed to where I am now I feel overall amazing, but I am left with this drape of skin that wont ever go away. It's heartbreaking to know that no amount of exercise and diet can make it go away.

I went in for a consult to see what I would be looking at cost wise and I was pleasantly suprised. $12,000 for both a breast augmentation and tummy tuck with lipo of flanks. My only hurdle now is finding the time. I read that everyone says take a month off of working hard, but I don't know how I will be able to do that. I am currently in my last semester of nursing school and will graduate in December. December 19 to be exact. I am planning to apply for a nurse residency program that will start at the end of January or February, depending on which position I am offered. My plan is to put in my notice to my job to have my last day be right before or just after surgery, but utilize the remainder of my sick time to cover for time off. Then have 3-4 weeks recovery before starting my new job. The biggest thing I worry about is that I have to also take the big liscensing exam NCLEX to become a RN and I'm wondering if during my time off it that will be good time to study (after the first 7-10 days after the pain subsides a little). I'm thinking I can make this work, but I haven't read too many posts from people with active jobs like CNA or Nurse, I'd like to hear about those experiences before putting the deposit down.

I'm really excited to take control of my body and reinvent myself to the woman I always knew I could be!!!

Thanks for starting your story on RealSelf! You might want to connect with this RealSelf member who is also a nurse and went back to work pretty quickly after her mommy makeover (though I've heard from other ladies that 3 to 4 weeks off is more reasonable). I hope this helps!

Please keep us updated on your journey!

Hi, Jut read your profile. Majority of PS say to take a minimum of 2weeks off then go back to work if it's a sit down which urs wouldn't e but thy would recommend 3weeks. I don't think that u would e up for studying while on pain meds but each person s different, has to do with pain tolerance. U graduate in December congrats, if I were u I would o the MM in jan that way it's b4 u start ur new employment, being under ur current Employer would have more of an understanding of time off due to healing from surgery or at the very least put u in a " slower" position after the 2-3 week mark. Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply! I think my plan will work out. I have alternatives if the job doesn't play out. I have 6 months from graduation to find a new job, so even of I don't get it I have enough sick time to take the month off and my current boss will be accommodating to that!!! I'm so excited! Now to set the date!
