I am 30 year old mother of 3 children. I am starting the process of getting a breast augmentation. I am a small a cup. Wanting to go to at least a c cup. Breastfeeding really deflated my breasts. I used to be a c cup. Any advice? I'm nervous about being put under. I feel like I am in a paddle boat in the ocean.

I'd really encourage you to search this website for women similar to your stats and the implant size you are looking for. "Wish pictures" implants look so different on every body/frame and 350cc implant in mentor is going to have different diameter and projection than allergan, so you gotta pay attention to the sizing charts too for the implant brand that your surgeon uses.

Good luck!! I'll follow your journey to see who you end up chosing for a doctor!

Yea! So exciting!! It really is the best thing I did for myself and I don't regret it at all!
Make sure you take plenty of wish pics to your appointment and my biggest advice would be just go with your doctor's recommendations. We may think we have an idea of how to get a look however they've been doing what they do for a long time and they're Experts! Of course look at reviews for the doctor and look at their other work to make sure you like what you see and if you do just go with what they say. Sometimes they suggest a profile or a size that you weren't thinking of, but be open because they know how to achieve the look. If you listen to your surgeon you'll be happy!

Oh yeah, about the anesthesia don't be nervous! Just follow all of your surgeons instructions and everything will be fine. They'll do some tests during your pre-op appointment to determine that your body is very healthy and able to take the general anesthesia, and of course you'll have some instructions on what not to eat and drink before your surgery. Of course no drugs, not even prescription, and no alcohol in your system 12 hours before the surgery. I've had two surgeries before my augmentation, they were non-cosmetic, but the hardest part for me is I'm very sensitive to drugs so the anesthesia makes me extra drowsy. It takes me an extra long time to wake up and I'll be honest I was so nauseous the whole way home from each of my surgeries. In my opinion that's one of the worst parts, but it's worth it for the beautiful result you have when it's all said and done, LOL! Good luck, I'm super excited for you! Keep us updated on your progress & feel free to ask any questions! So many real self ladies helped me along my journey, I'm happy to pay it forward ;-)

Thank you so much! I honestly want to cry. It means so much that you would take the time and write me. I really want this. I have for a long time. And I have no one to talk to about it besides on real self. I am trying to navigate through all this information and it can be overwhelming. And my husband is not really helping because he doesn't want me to go too big. Which is for him a c cup. And there has been arguments because of that which is frustrating. So again thank you for helping me put my mind at ease.

Awww him I can relate!' My husband was against it all together! I couldn't talk to him about it at all!! My worries, fears, excitement, questions...nothing! I had realself, one friend and myself! Coming from someone who's husband said no, don't go too big, had 2 surgeries in 6 'months and I have 700uhp implants, I can let you know that my husband is pleased and has gotten over his jealousy and insecurities!! A lot of Drs in the area don't educate you as much as all the other ladies on here talk about, so I was left to do a lot of research on my own !! The realself community is amazing!! We're all a click away!!

Great tip! I was never offered "mac sedation", I'll have to remember that if I ever have to go under in the future! Did you have to pay extra for that, Boobzz?

Wow Boobzz, I must've missed that part of your story, I never knew your hubby wasn't supportive at 1st.... that sux, but glad he's supportive now! It's kinda hard to be mad at a pair of big beautiful breasts in your face, lol :-D
You're absolutely right about the real self community, all you ladies have been such a huge help! That's why I make it a point to take the time to reach out in return; I don't know what I would have done without the positive insight & support of nice ladies like you, BringOnTheBoobzz :-D

Lotus, I'm so sorry to hear you don't have your husband's full support :(
Hopefully he will come around once you have a beautiful rack for him to gaze at, lol! But what I hope he comes to understand is that oftentimes women do so much for others & we put ourselves on the back burner, we almost lose a lil bit of ourselves & we need to feel good about ourselves, too. True happiness comes from within of course, but every lady also likes to feel sexy & beautiful on the outside, too! So he should let you do something just for YOU!
You may already know about "sister sizes", I didn't know about that until after my augmentation... but basically my true size is 32 D now, but my sister sizes will also fit well, so I can also fit: 30DD, 34C or even 36B... so technically even if your a 32 D after surgery you can also tell him you're a 34C, hehehe!
Then everyone's happy ;-)

Omg hahah love the part about 32D and 34C haha! This is true though :):)

About the MAC sedation, I don't know that I had an option with either surgeon, that's just how they do it! Lol so, no I didn't have to pay extra! I was scared to death of general, thought i was guna die lol, I'm a baby lol! It was my first surgery ever! Then w Mac sedation I was nervous I wouldn't fall asleep or I'd remember something! Lol I had a nightmare that I wasn't falling asleep but I was making these stupid outlandish comments and the nurses were all laughing at me! Lol but I knocked out right away! My husband was amazed on how I looked after surgery, said it didn't even look like I went under! I felt great!!

Oh and 00lala is right. You deserve to get your sexy back, it's unbelievable how my confidence has changed! And I'm amazed my hubby came around after the fact!

Lotus, I really hope you find a good doctor in our area, it was hard! Bernsten did a nice job on me and people I know, but chose who makes you most comfortable! I can't wait to see who you consult with, how they go and who you pick!! Excited for you!
