I'm sure Dr. Marcus has his strong points depending on what procedure you're looking for, but stay away when it comes to laser resurfacing. He performed this procedure on me with the TRL laser in 2014. I'm writing a review this late because I am finally seeing another doctor to get the results Dr. Marcus said I would, but didn't. I also need correction of problems I have as a result of Dr. Marcus's apparent lack of expertise with procedure. I had a consult with Dr. Marcus to discuss having laser surgery to help soften deeper wrinkles around my mouth and under my eyes and improve overall skin appearance. I had about a 10 day recovery period after the laser. Initially, it seemed like I had a significant improvement. However, once the swelling went down, there was very little improvement at all. Also, the procedure caused me to have dark brown discoloration on both sides of my jawline. Dr. Marcus initially addressed this by performing another laser procedure (IPL, or something similar) to take this away. Unfortunately, this did not help and he told me that I would need at least three more rounds before the darkness would disappear and at my own cost, which was going to be well over $1000. On top of that, when I had another follow-up to discuss my displeasure about how it all turned out, he actually made me feel bad by telling me that he performed the TRL at a medium depth even though I only paid for a "light" treatment. This was a complete lie, because well before surgery I met with the billing person and we specifically went over what procedure I was having, and how much it would cost. I would never be confused about that. Anyway, I'm sure Dr. Marcus has areas of cosmetic surgery that he's great at based on other positive reviews on this site. But, laser resurfacing is NOT one of them. Also, if something goes wrong, don't expect him to care or stand by his work.
