Finally Decided After 3 C-sections and 20+ Years of Waiting

Last drain came out without any pain at all. Incision is healing nicely. My PS has me massaging Aquaphore into the incision and belly button sites to help the appearance of the scar. Instructed to start using Scar recovery gel by SkinMedica next week. (PS provided) . I can tell when I over do it by the amount of swelling and tightness I have in my abdominal and pubic area.. I am able to even sleep on my abdomen now. I still wear the binder at night and a Spanx body suit during the day.. I'm so very happy I finally had the surgery.. This is a great gift to myself.

Yesterday seemed to be the worst so far. The swelling, bloating , muscle cramps and it felt like my beloved recliner was turning against me.. No comfortable position could be found. The "what have I done to myself" stage kicked in.. despite taking pain meds, gas x, and Ativan I was only able to sleep in 2 hour intervals.. But today I feel amazing other the tape on my lower tummy and these drain are the only reminders of the procedure.. Even my back pain is gone.. If and when u hit that road block just keep thing to yourself it will be better tomorrow and I'm worth it.

Still just taking Motrin as needed.. My PS encouraged me to take the muscle relaxants which have reduced the back pain and the stomach tightness..He's also having me message the area below my belly button several times daily.. yesterday my drains put out less than 100cc in a 24 hrs- I'm heading in the right direction..I am amazed and so pleased with my flat tummy-- swelling and all..I posted before and after pictures.
