Breathing Right and Feeling Confident. Macomb, MI

Not being able to breath well out of one nostril was my initial reason to recently undergo a second surgery to correct a deviated septum. Upon meeting Dr. Michael Fozo and feeling comfortable with him right away, I shared some dislikes about my nose that have caused embarrassment and insecurity for over 30 years. I appreciated Dr. Fozo's expert analysis and education regarding possible modifications. He was clear on what could and could not be done as to not compromise breathing and structure. In addition to correcting the breathing issue, his approach for me was a more feminine looking nose with bridge and tip modifications, fixing indentation where breaks occurred, etc. The idea was very appealing because I did not want an artificial looking nose that had obviously been worked on, but at the same time desired visible changes. Fast forward six months; The surgery results even exceeded my expectations with regard to the ability to breathe normally and the outcome cosmetically! This feature that had been a source of teasing and made me self conscious is now something I actually like. There are no longer concerns about what others are saying or thinking about my nose. It is a very freeing feeling. I was even told by someone I recently met that I reminded them of somebody, other than my nose being nicer. I was so excited to hear that she thought my nose was "nice." I thought about mentioning what I had done, but for this one time, just wanted to enjoy my nice nose. :)
