The final result!!

It's been so long since I've logged in here and I just realized that I never posted a final result picture. Life happens but It's not fair to take you on my journey and leave you hanging so here it is!

It was a success!

Good morning everyone! Phew!! I apologize for being away for a couple of days. In have been trying to recover and regroup. Overall, my experience has been phenomenal. Straight forward and without issue. Let's start from the beginning.
Day 1 (op day) - I came in to the office, my surgery was scheduled for 8:15 on 12/8. I met with the staff and Dr. Hakki as well who thoroughly went over everything that was about to take place. Dr. Hakki was the best! He made me feel comfortable and put any fears that I had to rest. My fears were mostly pain. He told me not to worry, "It is not going to be as bad as you think it is." Well, I was prepped, went into surgery and approx. 5 1/2 hours later awoke from what seemed like a brief nap. Dr. Hakki wa right!! It wasn't as bad as I thought. I got my prescriptions and went home that afternoon spending most of the day sleeping and staying on top of my meds. I had help from my boyfriend a well, who made sure to keep ice packs on me as needed so that was a big help!

Day 2 (follow-up) - I returned to Dr. Hakki' s office the next day which was Friday. I spoke with the nurse Kelli, I saw Carla who was wonderful through this whole experience and then I saw Dr. Hakki who looked everything over and said everything looked good. I have to warn you there was a LOT of drainage with this procedure! Seeing as though I had a drainless tummy tuck, lipo and a BBL, I can only sleep on my stomach which means I am draining through my incisions and areas where lipo was performed. My bandages were changed and i was put back into my compression suit.

Days 3 - 6 -These days were all about the same. A lot of sleeping. I did make sure to get up and walk around several times a day. My appetite picked up quite a bit. So I can say honestly I am eating normally. The only problem that I have and it's more of an annoyance, is that I can't sit down at all. So, this means I have to eat standing up or on my knees which makes anything less pleasurable. If I'm not eating a lot, it's more so because I'm tired of standing or kneeling than being full. I read a lot of people saying they could not eat a lot because their stomach felt to tight. I haven't experienced that although my stomach feels tight. It feels more so from the skin being stretched than anything else. My pain level has been about 3 - 6 On a scale of 1-10. That may be mainly because I stay on top of my meds around the clock which I think is very important. I finally had a BM on Sunday which was day 4. I was glad because I was starting to worry. (Did I say day 4?). Wow! Time is flying LOL! Also, on day 4 I was able to take a shower since the draining had mostly subsided. So Day 5 (yesterday) I finally remembered to take some photos which I have posted here. Lots of bruising!! I ended up getting lipo from multiple parts of my body because I am so small. This was needed to get a desirable result for my BBL. So I had lipo of back, flanks, bat wing, bra stap, arms and a little inner thighs and knees, so yea.

Day 6 - (Today) - Everyday gets better and better! I am more and more mobile. Still not driving. Still swollen. Laughing, coughing or sneezing is NO FUN! I have a follow-up appointment this Thursday so I will see how it goes. I've been using Arnica gel on some of my bruises and it does seem to help. Overall, so far I am glad that I did it. I just want to get back to normal cause this sleeping only on my stomach is killing me!!! Also, you will notice that my scar is a little extended on the sides and this was due to some dog earring that Dr. Hakki noticed was occurring so to prevent that he had to extend my scar which I am not mad bout because I would rather head off potential problems now. The scar can be corrected later.

4 Days Pre-op

Tim is really flying! Four more days to go and I am still excited!! Trying to stay focused. Well, here are a few before photos. The tummy tuck procedure that I am getting is called a drain less tummy tuck so I will not have to have drains. It's supposed to be a "less painful" procedure than the standard tummy tuck because of the fact that there are no drains involved, therefore an easier recovery. Let's keep our fingers crossed... :-). I am currently about 124lbs and 5'0.

My meeting was very pleasant. Dr. Hakki explained the procedure to me and answered all of my questions. His staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. I have seen his work and been able to personally speak with and hear the opinions of some of his prior patients and they all say one thing.....Dr. Hakki is "The Bomb"!
